أشادت السائحة الأمريكية إيدي رودريقز، خلال مشاركتها في ملتقى الطائف للوجهات السياحية بما تتميز به الطائف من مناخ جميل وطبيعة خلابة وورد طائفي وضيافة أصيلة وتجارب إنسانية ثرية، مؤكدة أن المحافظة تمتلك مقومات تجعلها وجهة للإقامة الممتدة وجاذبة للسائح عالي الإنفاق، مع ضرورة الحفاظ على هويتها وأصالتها. واقترحت رودريقز الاستفادة من شهرة الورد الطائفي لبناء روابط ثقافية وإعلامية دولية.
وشهد الملتقى جلستين حواريتين بمشاركة 8 متحدثين تناولوا مستقبل الطائف السياحي، والفرص الاستثمارية، ودور السياحة في الاقتصاد، والتكامل بين القطاعين العام والخاص، إضافة إلى الابتكار والاستدامة وتجربة العميل ودور الإعلام. كما صاحب الملتقى معرض لجهات وشركات سياحية وإعلامية، واختتم بكلمة لأمين عام الغرفة، الذي أكد استمرار دعم الفعاليات النوعية لتعزيز حضور الطائف السياحي.
The American tourist Edi Rodriguez praised, during her participation in the Taif Forum for Tourist Destinations, the beautiful climate, stunning nature, Taif roses, authentic hospitality, and rich human experiences that Taif offers. She emphasized that the governorate possesses qualities that make it a destination for extended stays and attractive to high-spending tourists, while stressing the importance of preserving its identity and authenticity. Rodriguez suggested leveraging the fame of Taif roses to build international cultural and media connections.
The forum featured two discussion sessions with the participation of 8 speakers who addressed the future of tourism in Taif, investment opportunities, the role of tourism in the economy, the integration between the public and private sectors, as well as innovation, sustainability, customer experience, and the role of media. The forum was accompanied by an exhibition of tourism and media entities and companies, and concluded with a speech from the Secretary-General of the Chamber, who reaffirmed the continued support for quality events to enhance Taif's tourism presence.
