بينما يقترب شهر رمضان المبارك من خواتيمه، يتابع المسلمون في أرجاء العالم كافة الجهود الضخمة التي تبذلها حكومة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وولي عهده الأمين الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، من أجل تجهيز الحرمين الشريفين والمشاعر المقدسة بما يلائم من تحسينات، وإنشاءات، وإضافات، وفق أحدث ما توصلت اليه تكنولوجيا البناء والتصنيع؛ لضمان تحقيق الراحة الكاملة لضيوف بيت الله الحرام، الذين يزورون البيت العتيق والمسجد النبوي الشريف في جميع أوقات السنة دون انقطاع، إلا في مواسم الحج، حيث يخضع حجاج بيت الله الحرام للتنظيم الذي وضعته الحكومة السعودية ليشمل ضيوف الرحمن كافة.
ومن يشاهد البيت العتيق والمسجد النبوي خلال هذه الأيام الأخيرة الغالية من شهر رمضان المبارك يرى كيف أضحت التوسعات السعودية -انتهاءً بعهد الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز- قادرةً على استيعاب ملايين المصلين، والمعتمرين، والحجاج. وسيرون كيف توزعت الطرق في مختلف الاتجاهات ليتدفق المسلمون في سهولة ويُسر لأداء عبادتهم، واللحاق بالأجواء الروحية العالية التي تسود البيت الحرام والمسجد النبوي الشريف. وهو جهد ترى القيادة السعودية أنه واجبها تجاه الأماكن المقدسة، وتجاه أفواج المسلمين القادمين من كل فجٍّ عميقٍ، من دون مَنٍّ ولا أذى.
