أعلنت وزارة الحج والعمرة إيقاف التعاقدات القائمة مع 1800 وكالة سفر خارجية عاملة في مجال العمرة، من أصل نحو 5800 وكالة سفر خارجية، وإمهالها 10 أيام لتصحيح أوضاعها، وذلك بناءً على نتائج التقييم الدوري المعتمد، وما رُصد من قصور في مستوى الأداء وضعف جودة الخدمات لدى تلك الوكالات.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن الإيقاف يقتصر على إصدار التأشيرات الجديدة فقط، ويأتي ضمن منهجية تنظيمية تهدف إلى تمكين الوكالات من معالجة ملاحظات التصنيف ورفع مستوى الالتزام بالمعايير المعتمدة، على أن يُعاد تفعيل التعاقدات بعد انتهاء المهلة واستكمال المتطلبات اللازمة.
وأكدت الوزارة أن المعتمرين الذين لديهم تأشيرات سارية أو حجوزات قائمة لن يتأثروا بهذا الإجراء، إذ تستمر الخدمات المقدّمة لهم دون أي تغيير، مضيفةً أن تطبيق التصنيف المعتمد ومؤشرات الأداء يُعد إجراءً تنظيميًا أساسيًا يهدف إلى رفع مستوى الالتزام لدى مقدمي الخدمة، وضمان تقديم خدمات تتوافق مع المعايير المعتمدة، مع التأكيد على أن حماية حقوق المعتمرين واستمرارية خدمتهم تمثل أولوية في جميع الإجراءات التنظيمية المتخذة.
من جهته بين المتحدث باسم وزارة الحج والعمرة الدكتور غسان النويمي أن الوزارة ستتخذ جميع الإجراءات النظامية بحق أي وكالة لا تلتزم بتصحيح أوضاعها بعد انتهاء المهلة المحددة، مؤكدًا استمرار الوزارة في تطبيق أدوات الرقابة والتقييم بما يعزز موثوقية منظومة العمرة ويحفظ حقوق المعتمرين.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the suspension of existing contracts with 1,800 foreign travel agencies operating in the field of Umrah, out of approximately 5,800 foreign travel agencies, and has given them 10 days to rectify their situations, based on the results of the approved periodic evaluation and the shortcomings observed in the performance level and the quality of services provided by those agencies.
The ministry clarified that the suspension is limited to the issuance of new visas only, and comes as part of an organizational methodology aimed at enabling the agencies to address classification observations and raise their level of compliance with the approved standards, with contracts to be reactivated after the deadline and the necessary requirements are fulfilled.
The ministry confirmed that pilgrims with valid visas or existing bookings will not be affected by this procedure, as the services provided to them will continue without any changes. It added that the application of the approved classification and performance indicators is a fundamental regulatory measure aimed at raising the level of compliance among service providers and ensuring the provision of services that meet the approved standards, emphasizing that protecting the rights of pilgrims and the continuity of their services is a priority in all regulatory measures taken.
For his part, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Ghassan Al-Nuaimi, stated that the ministry will take all legal actions against any agency that fails to rectify its situation after the specified deadline, affirming the ministry's continued application of monitoring and evaluation tools to enhance the reliability of the Umrah system and protect the rights of pilgrims.
