حققت السعودية، ممثلةً في الهيئة العامة للإحصاء، منجزاً جديداً بمواصلة تقدمها في مؤشر الأداء الإحصائي (SPI) الصادر عن البنك الدولي منذ تحديث البيانات 2020، وارتفع تقييمها إلى (83.3%) في 2024، مقارنة بما نُشر في العام الماضي 2023 (81.5%)، محافظةً بذلك على ترتيبها في المرتبة الأولى عربياً، ومتقدمةً 3 مراتب بين دول مجموعة العشرين (G20)، حيث جاءت في المرتبة (11) بعد أن كانت في المرتبة (14) حسب ما كان منشوراً في العام الماضي. كما تقدمت المملكة 4 مراتب لتصبح في المركز (51) بين (188) دولة.
وجاء المنجز نتيجة للتطور الإحصائي الذي تشهده المملكة، ونهج التحول الرقمي الذي تطبقه في المنظومة الإحصائية الوطنية، وإسهاماتها في بناء القدرات وتبني الابتكار وتعزيز الشفافية، ودعم قياس التقدم المحرز نحو تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
وكان البنك الدولي أعلن عبر موقعه الرسمي نتائج تقييم مؤشر الأداء الإحصائي (SPI) لعام 2024، وحصلت المملكة على المرتبة السادسة بين دول مجموعة العشرين بحصولها على تقييم (93.2%) في المحور الثاني الخاص بخدمات البيانات، إضافة إلى حصولها على المرتبة السابعة على مستوى دول مجموعة العشرين في المحور الرابع الخاص بمصادر البيانات، وتقدمها إلى المرتبة (17) عالمياً مقارنة بالمرتبة (36) حسب المنشور في العام الماضي.
كما حققت نتائج متقدمة بدخولها ضمن أعلى (20%) من مجموعة الدول في 3 محاور: (خدمات البيانات، مصادر البيانات، البنية التحتية للبيانات).
ورفع رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء فهد بن عبدالله الدوسري، التهنئة للقيادة على هذا المنجز الدولي، مثمناً ما تحظى به الهيئة من دعم واهتمام، ومؤكداً أن هذا الدعم المتواصل أسهم في الارتقاء بجودة وكفاءة عمليات ومخرجات القطاع الإحصائي، وتطوره الكبير ومواكبته للمستجدات والمتغيرات العالمية المتسارعة في هذا المجال، الأمر الذي يعكس نضج المنظومة الإحصائية السعودية.
Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Statistics, has achieved a new milestone by continuing its progress in the Statistical Performance Index (SPI) issued by the World Bank since the data update in 2020. Its rating has risen to (83.3%) in 2024, compared to what was published last year in 2023 (81.5%), thus maintaining its position as the first in the Arab world and advancing 3 ranks among the G20 countries, moving from rank (14) to rank (11) according to last year's publication. The Kingdom also advanced 4 ranks to become in the (51) position among (188) countries.
This achievement is the result of the statistical development witnessed in the Kingdom, the digital transformation approach applied in the national statistical system, its contributions to capacity building, adopting innovation, enhancing transparency, and supporting the measurement of progress made towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The World Bank announced the results of the Statistical Performance Index (SPI) assessment for 2024 on its official website, with the Kingdom ranking sixth among the G20 countries, achieving a score of (93.2%) in the second axis related to data services. Additionally, it ranked seventh among G20 countries in the fourth axis related to data sources, advancing to rank (17) globally compared to rank (36) according to last year's publication.
The Kingdom also achieved advanced results by entering the top (20%) of the group of countries in 3 axes: (data services, data sources, data infrastructure).
The Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics, Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, congratulated the leadership on this international achievement, appreciating the support and attention the authority receives, and confirming that this continuous support has contributed to enhancing the quality and efficiency of the operations and outputs of the statistical sector, its significant development, and its alignment with the rapid global developments and changes in this field, reflecting the maturity of the Saudi statistical system.
