The Tasnim News Agency quoted Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi as saying that Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, will participate in the signing ceremony of the interim agreement to end the war with the United States.

Ravanchi noted in a statement today, Tuesday, that the time and place for the signing have not yet been determined, despite global media circulating Switzerland as a potential location for the signing next Friday.

He added that it is still unclear whether the signing will be electronic, and subsequent discussions will begin after the signing, with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf participating in the signing.

U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned on Monday that his Vice President, J.D. Vance, will attend the official signing ceremony in Geneva. He confirmed that Iran has agreed to never possess nuclear weapons, in his latest statements regarding the understandings reached between Washington and Tehran.

Trump's remarks come at a time when the United States and Iran are preparing to launch a round of technical negotiations aimed at establishing the implementation and monitoring mechanisms for the agreement.

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Tuesday that the official start of the memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran will be next Friday in Switzerland, noting that the announcement of the end of the war is one of the most important issues of the first phase.

Araghchi stated in a meeting with foreign diplomats broadcasted by state television: "A new round of negotiations between Iran and the United States is expected to begin on Friday to reach a final agreement." He added that this round will start in Switzerland, emphasizing: "We will discuss the nuclear file in the final stage of negotiations with the U.S."
