افتُتح أسبوع الموضة في الرياض بعرض مميز لدار «فيفيان وستوود» التي قدّمت للمرة الأولى مجموعة في الشرق الأوسط ضمن هذا الحدث، في خطوة تعكس اهتمام الدار العريقة بدمج الحرفية السعودية في رؤيتها الفنية.
تألقت المنصة بفستان حريري بلون عنّابي مطرّز يدوياً بالتعاون مع مجموعة سعودية متخصصة في الحِرَف التقليدية، إذ امتزج أسلوب الكورسيه الكلاسيكي الذي تشتهر به الدار مع لمسات تراثية دقيقة تحاكي الهوية المحلية. هذا التزاوج بين الطابع الغربي والروح الشرقية منح العرض بعداً ثقافياً يعبر عن حوار جمالي بين العراقة والحداثة.
ورغم أن بعض التصاميم اتسمت بدرامية مبالغ فيها لا تناسب الاستخدام اليومي، إلا أنها عبّرت بوضوح عن هوية الهوت كوتور التي تعتمدها الدار في إبراز الأزياء كفن أكثر من كونها قطعة عملية.

The runway dazzled with a silk dress in a burgundy color, hand-embroidered in collaboration with a Saudi group specialized in traditional crafts, as the classic corset style that the house is known for blended with delicate heritage touches that echo the local identity. This fusion of Western character and Eastern spirit gave the show a cultural dimension that expresses an aesthetic dialogue between heritage and modernity.
Although some designs were characterized by exaggerated drama that is not suitable for daily wear, they clearly expressed the identity of haute couture that the house adopts in showcasing fashion as art rather than merely a practical piece.
