كشف تقرير حديث لمنظومة الصناعة بلوغ عدد المدن الصناعية 40 مدينة، ووصول عدد المصانع إلى 12 ألف مصنع بنهاية عام 2024. وكشف التقرير، الذي نشر في وكالة الأنباء السعودية، سعي المملكة إلى الوصول إلى 36 ألف مصنع بحلول عام 2035.
وتبرز مدينتا الجبيل وينبع الصناعيتان قطبين رئيسيين في قطاع البتروكيماويات العالمي، فيما أصبحت مدينة رأس الخير على سواحل الخليج مركزًا محوريًّا للصناعات التعدينية، وتحتضن مجمعًا لمعادن الألومنيوم، يعد أحد أكبر وأشمل المجمعات الصناعية عالميًّا، بالإضافة إلى إنتاج الفوسفات والمعادن الأخرى.
وفي الجنوب الغربي من المملكة، تتقدم مدينة جازان للصناعات الأساسية والتحويلية بوصفها مركزًا للصناعات الثقيلة والأنشطة كثيفة الاستهلاك للطاقة، إلى جانب الصناعات الغذائية والأنشطة الزراعية.
وفي مدينة الملك عبدالله الاقتصادية، يبرز نموذج صناعي فريد يدمج بين التصنيع واللوجستيات، حيث تضم أحد أكثر الموانئ تطورًا في العالم. وتأتي مدينة سدير للصناعة والأعمال باعتبارها منطقة صناعية ولوجستية متخصصة، تستقطب استثمارات مهمة في الصناعات الدوائية والغذائية والتصنيع الخفيف، وتسهم في تطوير سلسلة الإمداد الوطني.

A recent report from the industrial system revealed that the number of industrial cities has reached 40, with the number of factories reaching 12,000 by the end of 2024. The report, published by the Saudi Press Agency, highlighted the Kingdom's aim to reach 36,000 factories by 2035.

In King Abdullah Economic City, a unique industrial model emerges that integrates manufacturing and logistics, as it includes one of the most advanced ports in the world. Sudair Industrial and Business City comes as a specialized industrial and logistics area, attracting significant investments in pharmaceutical and food industries and light manufacturing, contributing to the development of the national supply chain.
