تجديد عضوية المملكة في المجلس التنفيذي للمنظمة العربية للطيران المدني

The General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization renewed the Kingdom's membership in the Executive Council of the organization for the period 2026 – 2028, in an achievement that reflects the Kingdom's status in the civil aviation sector at both the Arab and international levels.

The newly formed Executive Council also held its first meeting and decided to elect the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, as the President of the Executive Council of the organization by unanimous vote for the second consecutive time.

The 29th General Assembly of the organization witnessed the renewal of the Kingdom's membership in six technical committees for the period 2026 – 2028, which are: the Air Transport Committee, the Air Safety Committee, the Aviation Security Committee, the Air Navigation Committee, the Environment Committee, and the Media and Institutional Communication Committee; amidst widespread Arab praise for the pioneering role played by the Kingdom in supporting and developing the civil aviation sector at both the regional and international levels.

On this occasion, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, expressed his gratitude to the leadership for the unlimited support for the civil aviation sector and the transport and logistics services system, affirming that this renewal comes in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and embodies the high status and reliability that the Kingdom enjoys in international and regional organizations, enhancing the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub.

For his part, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the significant support and attention that the aviation sector in the Kingdom receives, extending his thanks to the members of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization for their trust in electing him as President of the Executive Council during the upcoming term.

He pointed out that the renewal of the Kingdom's membership in the Executive Council represents an extension of its leadership and effective contributions to the development of the Arab air transport industry, affirming that the upcoming phase will witness - God willing - continued diligent work to enhance Arab integration and formulate unified visions to address the future challenges of the sector.
