رصدت «عكاظ» وجود تنوع في أسعار فاكهة المانجو بأسواق ومولات محافظة جدة، تصدرها صنف «عويس» المستوردة من جمهورية مصر العربية، الذي وصل سعره إلى 29.95 ريال للكيلو غرام الواحد، إضافة إلى المانجو الجازاني التي تراوح سعرها بين 15-25 ريالا للكيلو غرام الواحد.
وبحسب متعاملون (استطلعت «عكاظ» آراءهم) في أسواق الخضار والفاكهة، اشتملت الأنواع على: المانجو الأفريقي الوارد من كينيا بنوعيه الطويل والمدور بسعر 22.95 ريال لكل منهما، ثم تأتي الأنواع الأخرى الواردة من مصر، التي تضم صنف كيت بـ10.95 ريال، ونعومي بـ13.95 ريال.
وفرة الإنتاج
وقال علي الزهراني (مستهلك): «تتميز أسواق جدة بتنوع فاكهة المانجو، خصوصا في ظل وفرة الإنتاج المحلي الوارد من منطقة جازان، التي تتمتع بتنوع خصب لفاكهة المانجو».
وأضاف نبيل السيد (متعامل): «يوجد إقبال كثيف على المانجو الجازاني والمصري خصيصا؛ نظرا لمذاقهما المميز والمعروف لدى أغلبية المستهلكين، ولكل منهما عملاؤه، فالمانجو الجازاني قد يصل أحيانا سعره إلى 30 ريالا في أوقات الموسم، خلال فصل الصيف، وحاليا مع انتهاء الموسم راوحت الأسعار بين 15-20 ريالا».
وبيّن علي الحربي (مسؤول بأحد المراكز التجارية في جدة) بقوله: «تتعدد أصناف فاكهة المانجو، وصنف عويس يكثر عليه الإقبال من المستهلكين؛ نظرا لصغر حجمه ومذاقه المعروف، ويحتاج إلى وضعه لفترات كبيرة في الثلاجات، مقارنة ببعض الأنواع الأخرى، إلى جانب ارتفاع تكلفة أسعار الشحن من مصر، لذلك فإن سعره يصل إلى 30 ريالا».
The newspaper "Okaz" has reported a variety of mango prices in the markets and malls of Jeddah, led by the "Owais" variety imported from the Arab Republic of Egypt, which reached a price of 29.95 riyals per kilogram. Additionally, the Jazan mango is priced between 15-25 riyals per kilogram.
According to traders (whose opinions were surveyed by "Okaz") in the fruit and vegetable markets, the types included: African mango imported from Kenya in both long and round varieties at a price of 22.95 riyals each, followed by other types imported from Egypt, which include the Kitt variety at 10.95 riyals and the Naomi variety at 13.95 riyals.
Abundance of Production
Ali Al-Zahrani (a consumer) stated: "The markets of Jeddah are characterized by a variety of mangoes, especially in light of the abundance of local production coming from the Jazan region, which enjoys a rich diversity of mangoes."
Nabil Al-Sayed (a trader) added: "There is a heavy demand for both Jazan and Egyptian mangoes specifically, due to their distinctive taste known to the majority of consumers, and each has its own clientele. The price of Jazan mango can sometimes reach 30 riyals during peak season in the summer, and currently, with the season ending, prices range between 15-20 riyals."
Ali Al-Harbi (an official at one of the commercial centers in Jeddah) indicated: "There are many varieties of mango, and the Owais variety is particularly popular among consumers due to its small size and well-known taste. It requires longer storage periods in refrigerators compared to some other varieties, in addition to the high shipping costs from Egypt, which is why its price reaches 30 riyals."
