شارك صندوق البيئة، ضمن الوفد السعودي المشارك في معرض «إكسبو 2025 أوساكا»، إذ استعرض دوره الداعم للقطاع البيئي في المملكة.
وسلّطت مشاركة الصندوق في فعالية «الازدهار الهادف: تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة مع المملكة العربية السعودية»، التي عُقدِت على هامش المعرض، الضوء على التزام المملكة الراسخ بتعزيز الأهداف العالمية للاستدامة من خلال التمويل المبتكَر، والشراكات الإستراتيجية، والمبادرات البيئية المؤثِّرة.
وقدَّم الصندوق خلال الفعالية، تعريفا بالصندوق وبرامجه الداعمة للبيئة، كما استعرض الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة في القطاع، ويسعى الصندوق من خلال هذه المشاركة، إلى استقطاب شراكات من القطاع الخاص للمشاركة في مشاريع ذات أولوية في مجالات إدارة النفايات، ومكافحة التلوّث، والحفاظ على التنوّع البيولوجي والحياة البرية، وحماية الغطاء النباتي، ومكافحة التصحّر.
استثمار مستدام
من جانبه، أوضح نائب الرئيس الأول للتسويق والتواصل المتحدث باسم الصندوق فواز العنزي أن صندوق البيئة يعمل، بصفته الممكّن لقطاع البيئة في المملكة، على تعزيز الاستثمار المستدام، والابتكار، واجتذاب مزيد من الشراكات من القطاع الخاص في الاقتصاد الأخضر، مبينا أن الصندوق يقدم الدعم من خلال برنامج الحوافز والمنح في القطاع البيئي من خلال 16 مسارا في مجالات متعددة، ويمكن للمستفيدين التقدم على البرنامج من خلال منصة الحوافز والمنح على موقع صندوق البيئة الإلكتروني.
يذكر أن قيمة أصول المحفظة الاستثمارية للصندوق، القائمة على ممارسات الحوكمة البيئية والاجتماعية والمؤسسية، بلغت 6.7 مليار ريال، وحققت نموا قويا على أساس سنوي بلغت نسبته 7.9% في عام 2024م، مما يُثبت الجدوى الكامنة في إيجاد القيمة وإمكانية الاستثمار في الاقتصاد الأخضر.
The Environment Fund participated as part of the Saudi delegation at the "Expo 2025 Osaka," showcasing its supportive role for the environmental sector in the Kingdom.
The Fund's participation in the event "Purposeful Prosperity: Achieving Sustainable Development Goals with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," held on the sidelines of the exhibition, highlighted the Kingdom's steadfast commitment to enhancing global sustainability goals through innovative financing, strategic partnerships, and impactful environmental initiatives.
During the event, the Fund provided an introduction to itself and its programs that support the environment, as well as showcasing the investment opportunities available in the sector. Through this participation, the Fund aims to attract partnerships from the private sector to engage in priority projects in areas such as waste management, pollution control, biodiversity and wildlife conservation, vegetation protection, and combating desertification.
Sustainable Investment
For his part, the Fund's Senior Vice President for Marketing and Communication, spokesperson Fawaz Al-Anzi, explained that the Environment Fund, as an enabler for the environmental sector in the Kingdom, is working to enhance sustainable investment, innovation, and attract more partnerships from the private sector in the green economy. He noted that the Fund provides support through an incentives and grants program in the environmental sector across 16 pathways in various fields, and beneficiaries can apply for the program through the incentives and grants platform on the Environment Fund's website.
It is worth mentioning that the value of the Fund's investment portfolio, based on environmental, social, and governance practices, reached 6.7 billion riyals, achieving strong annual growth of 7.9% in 2024, demonstrating the inherent viability of creating value and the potential for investment in the green economy.
