بدأ وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريّف زيارة رسمية إلى جمهورية اليونان، تمتد حتى 7 أكتوبر الجاري، يرأس خلالها وفدا رفيع المستوى من منظومة الصناعة والتعدين، وذلك بهدف تعزيز الشراكة الاقتصادية الإستراتيجية بين البلدين، وتطوير التعاون الثنائي في القطاعين الصناعي والتعديني.
ويستهل الوزير الخريّف زيارته إلى العاصمة اليونانية أثينا بسلسلة اجتماعات ثنائية مع عدد من المسؤولين الحكوميين، تشمل الاجتماع بوزير التنمية اليوناني الدكتور تاكيس ثيودوريكاكوس، ووزير البيئة والطاقة اليوناني ستافروس باباستافرو، وتناقش تلك الاجتماعات توسيع آفاق الشراكات الاقتصادية، وتعزيز الاستثمارات المتبادلة بين البلدين في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين.
طاولة مستديرة
ويرأس الوزير الخريّف خلال الزيارة اجتماع طاولة مستديرة تنظمه وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية، بالتعاون مع وزارة التنمية اليونانية، بمشاركة قادة القطاع الخاص اليوناني في الصناعة، والتعدين، والتصنيع المتقدم؛ وذلك لاستكشاف الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة في تلك القطاعات، وعرض الممكنات والحوافز المقدمة لتمكين القطاع الخاص من استثمار تلك الفرص.
وتشمل زيارة الوزير الخريف جولة ميدانية في أحواض بناء السفن «Elefsis»، للاطلاع على التجربة اليونانية في الربط اللوجستي بين قارتي آسيا وأوروبا، وبحث فرص تعزيز التعاون بين الجانبين في قطاع الصناعات البحرية.
وتأتي الزيارة الرسمية لوزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية إلى جمهورية اليونان امتدادا للشراكة الاقتصادية الإستراتيجية بين البلدين، التي رسمت ملامحها الزيارة التاريخية لولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، إلى اليونان عام 2022، التي أعلن خلالها إنشاء مجلس الشراكة الإستراتيجية السعودي-اليوناني، ثم عزَّزتها زيارة رئيس الوزراء اليوناني إلى المملكة في يناير 2025.
تسهيل الصادرات
وتركز زيارة الخريّف على تسهيل نفاذ الصادرات السعودية إلى اليونان والأسواق العالمية، ودعم نمو حجم التبادل التجاري غير النفطي بين البلدين، الذي بلغ 1.82 مليار ريال سعودي في عام 2024، إضافة إلى تعزيز التعاون وتبادل الخبرات في عدد من القطاعات الصناعية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وتشمل صناعات الأغذية والكيماويات التحويلية، والصناعات التعدينية.
يذكر أن المملكة واليونان تمتلكان خبرة واسعة في استخراج ومعالجة الألمنيوم، مما يتيح فرصة مهمة لتعزيز التعاون التعديني بين البلدين، وتعد المملكة مُصدِّرا رئيسا للمنتجات البتروكيماوية إلى اليونان، وستشكل الزيارة فرصة لتطوير التعاون المشترك في قطاع البتروكيماويات.
وتُعد زيارة الوزير الخريّف إلى جمهورية اليونان خطوة مهمة لتعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية بين البلدين، وتوسيع آفاق الشراكات الإستراتيجية في الصناعة والتعدين، بما يرسِّخ مكانة المملكة مركزا صناعيّا وتعدينيّا عالميّا وفقا لمستهدفات رؤية 2030.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, has begun an official visit to the Hellenic Republic, which will last until October 7, during which he will head a high-level delegation from the industrial and mining sector. The aim of the visit is to enhance the strategic economic partnership between the two countries and to develop bilateral cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors.
Minister Al-Khorayef will start his visit to the Greek capital, Athens, with a series of bilateral meetings with several government officials, including a meeting with the Greek Minister of Development, Dr. Takis Theodorikakos, and the Greek Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou. These meetings will discuss expanding the horizons of economic partnerships and enhancing mutual investments between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors.
Round Table
During the visit, Minister Al-Khorayef will chair a round table meeting organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of Development, with the participation of leaders from the Greek private sector in industry, mining, and advanced manufacturing. This is to explore available investment opportunities in these sectors and to present the capabilities and incentives offered to enable the private sector to invest in these opportunities.
The minister's visit also includes a field tour of the "Elefsis" shipyards to learn about the Greek experience in logistical connectivity between Asia and Europe, and to discuss opportunities for enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the maritime industries.
The official visit of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to the Hellenic Republic is an extension of the strategic economic partnership between the two countries, which was outlined during the historic visit of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to Greece in 2022, during which the establishment of the Saudi-Greek Strategic Partnership Council was announced, further strengthened by the visit of the Greek Prime Minister to the Kingdom in January 2025.
Facilitating Exports
Minister Al-Khorayef's visit focuses on facilitating the access of Saudi exports to Greece and global markets, and supporting the growth of non-oil trade exchange between the two countries, which reached 1.82 billion Saudi Riyals in 2024. Additionally, it aims to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in several industrial sectors of mutual interest, including food industries, transformative chemicals, and mining industries.
It is noteworthy that both the Kingdom and Greece have extensive experience in the extraction and processing of aluminum, which presents an important opportunity to enhance mining cooperation between the two countries. The Kingdom is a major exporter of petrochemical products to Greece, and the visit will provide an opportunity to develop joint cooperation in the petrochemical sector.
The visit of Minister Al-Khorayef to the Hellenic Republic is an important step in strengthening economic relations between the two countries and expanding the horizons of strategic partnerships in industry and mining, thereby solidifying the Kingdom's position as a global industrial and mining hub in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
