تزخر منطقة الباحة بموارد تعد جزءًا من ثروة معدنية كامنة تسعى المملكة لاستكشافها واستغلالها؛ ليشكّل التعدين مصدرًا مهمًّا من مصادر تنويع الدخل للاقتصاد الوطني، وفقًا لمستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي لوزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية جراح الجراح، أن منطقة الباحة غنية بخامات معدنية متنوعة، ومكمنٌ للمعادن النفيسة ومعادن الأساس، التي تشمل الذهب والفضة والنحاس والزنك والرصاص والصخور الصناعية وأحجار الزينة، مثل: الفلسبار، والرخام والبوزلان، مبينًا أن القيمة التقديرية للموارد التعدينية في المنطقة تبلغ 285.4 مليار ريال.
وبيّن أن المنطقة تضم عددًا من الأحزمة المتمعدنة لمعادن الذهب والنحاس والزنك، منوّهًا بمشروعات المجمعات التعدينية المخصّصة لمواد البناء في منطقة الباحة، التي يبلغ عددها 19 موقعًا، منها مجمعات لمواد البناء لخدمة المشاريع التنموية بالمنطقة.
تطور الصناعة
وفيما يتعلق بتطور القطاع الصناعي في منطقة الباحة، أوضح الجراح أن المنطقة تمتلك قاعدة صناعية، إذ يبلغ عدد المصانع فيها (49) مصنعًا، مبينًا أن أبرز القطاعات الصناعية في الباحة تشمل: مواد البناء (34 مصنعًا)، والأغذية (9 مصانع)، ومنتجات البلاستيك والمطاط (5 مصانع)، في حين تتوزع بقية المصانع بين الكيماويات، والمعادن، وقطاعات أخرى، فيما يبلغ حجم القوى العاملة في القطاع الصناعي بمنطقة الباحة (2,289) موظفًا.
The Al-Baha region is rich in resources that are part of a latent mineral wealth that the Kingdom seeks to explore and exploit; mining is set to become an important source for diversifying income for the national economy, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jarrah Al-Jarrah, stated that the Al-Baha region is rich in various mineral ores and is a source of precious metals and base metals, which include gold, silver, copper, zinc, lead, industrial rocks, and decorative stones, such as feldspar, marble, and pozzolana. He indicated that the estimated value of mineral resources in the region amounts to 285.4 billion riyals.
He pointed out that the region includes several mineralized belts for gold, copper, and zinc, highlighting the mining complexes dedicated to construction materials in the Al-Baha region, which number 19 sites, including complexes for construction materials to serve developmental projects in the area.
Industry Development
Regarding the development of the industrial sector in the Al-Baha region, Al-Jarrah explained that the area has an industrial base, with the number of factories reaching 49. He noted that the most prominent industrial sectors in Al-Baha include: construction materials (34 factories), food (9 factories), and plastic and rubber products (5 factories), while the remaining factories are distributed among chemicals, metals, and other sectors, with the workforce in the industrial sector in the Al-Baha region totaling 2,289 employees.
