الراجحي: مساهمات المسؤولية الاجتماعية تجاوزت 4 مليارات ريال

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi, confirmed that the movement for social responsibility has begun to yield achievements and impressive figures, as the value of contributions to the national platform for social responsibility has exceeded 4 billion riyals to date. The percentage of major companies that offer social responsibility programs has reached 71.67%, surpassing the target of 67%. The contribution of the private sector to total social spending stands at 4.18%, compared to a target of 4.15% for 2024, while the Kingdom has achieved 21st place globally in the social responsibility index issued by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD).

This came during Minister Al-Rajhi's meeting today with a number of representatives of social responsibility from private sector companies and institutions, as part of the ministry's commitment to enhancing communication channels and developing joint work to raise the level of private sector contributions to national development.

In his opening speech, Minister Al-Rajhi emphasized that social responsibility has become a key contributor to achieving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, playing a pivotal role for companies in supporting sustainable development efforts and enhancing the positive impact of social and environmental initiatives that contribute to improving quality of life.

During the meeting, he listened to the views and suggestions of the participants, affirming that the ministry welcomes all initiatives and ideas that would activate the role of the private sector as a genuine partner in development.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Al-Rajhi directed that all inquiries and suggestions be compiled and followed up urgently, reiterating the ministry's commitment to continue working with the private sector to enhance its role in building a prosperous society and a sustainable economy.
