تنطلق في العاصمة الرياض اليوم (الإثنين)، أعمال (الندوة العالمية لمنظمي الاتصالات «GSR25») التي تنظمها السعودية ممثلة في هيئة الاتصالات والفضاء والتقنية، بالشراكة مع الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات، وبمشاركة أكثر من 190 دولة، تحت شعار (التنظيم من أجل التنمية الرقمية المستدامة)، وتستمر فعالياتها حتى 3 سبتمبر بمركز الملك عبدالعزيز الدولي للمؤتمرات.
وتعكس استضافة السعودية هذه الندوة ثقة المجتمع الدولي بدورها القيادي في قطاع الاتصالات والتقنية، وإسهامها في دعم مستهدفات التنمية الرقمية المستدامة، ومبادرات الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات الرامية إلى ربط البشرية وإيجاد حلول مبتكرة تسهم في تعزيز التعاون العالمي.
وتُعد الندوة - التي انطلقت قبل 25 عاماً - منصة عالمية تجمع المنظمين ومطوري السياسات وصنّاع القرار لتبادل المعرفة حول أحدث التوجهات التنظيمية وتبني أفضل الممارسات الدولية. كما تشهد جلسات رفيعة المستوى تبحث تعزيز التنظيم الرقمي التعاوني، وبناء الثقة وحماية المستخدمين في البيئة الرقمية، ودعم الشمولية، وتنمية القدرات البشرية في مجالات التقنيات الناشئة، إضافة إلى رسم أطر تنظيمية لمستقبل رقمي مستدام.
وعلى هامش أعمالها، تنظّم الهيئة معرضاً مصاحباً يقدّم أحدث الابتكارات التنظيمية والتقنيات الناشئة، عبر «واحة الإعلام» في نسختها العاشرة بالشراكة مع وزارة الإعلام، التي تحتضن أجنحة عدد من المشاريع والمبادرات الوطنية الكبرى مثل؛ نيوم، روح السعودية، إلى جانب جهات حكومية بينها وزارة الرياضة، وكالة الفضاء السعودية، هيئة تطوير عسير، السعودية الرقمية، إضافة إلى مشاركات محلية وعالمية في تقنيات (RegTech).
كما يستضيف المعرض قمة سينك للاتزان الرقمي إحدى مبادرات مركز الملك عبدالعزيز الثقافي العالمي (إثراء)، تحت شعار (جيل ألفا، جيل الذكاء الاصطناعي.. من يحمي جيلنا القادم). وفي الثاني من سبتمبر، تحتضن الفعالية جلسات TEDxRiyadh تحت شعار (نتجاوز الحدود ونتخطى المستحيل - Beyond Boundaries)، حيث تُطرح 12 قصة وتجربة ريادية وتقنية ملهمة في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار.
وتشمل أجندة المعرض جلسات حوارية عن مستقبل الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتحديات الحوكمة التنظيمية لتقنيات الكم، ودور البنية التحتية والسياسات التنظيمية في تمكين قطاع الألعاب والرياضات الإلكترونية، إضافة إلى منافسة SpaceUp لتطوير حلول فضائية مبتكرة تخدم القطاعات الحيوية.
The global symposium for telecommunications regulators "GSR25" kicks off today (Monday) in the capital, Riyadh, organized by Saudi Arabia, represented by the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission, in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union, with the participation of more than 190 countries, under the slogan "Regulation for Sustainable Digital Development." The events will continue until September 3 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center.
Saudi Arabia's hosting of this symposium reflects the international community's confidence in its leadership role in the telecommunications and technology sector, and its contribution to supporting the goals of sustainable digital development, as well as the initiatives of the International Telecommunication Union aimed at connecting humanity and finding innovative solutions that enhance global cooperation.
The symposium, which began 25 years ago, is a global platform that brings together regulators, policy developers, and decision-makers to exchange knowledge about the latest regulatory trends and adopt best international practices. It will feature high-level sessions discussing the enhancement of collaborative digital regulation, building trust and protecting users in the digital environment, supporting inclusivity, and developing human capabilities in emerging technologies, in addition to outlining regulatory frameworks for a sustainable digital future.
On the sidelines of the symposium, the commission is organizing a concurrent exhibition showcasing the latest regulatory innovations and emerging technologies, through the "Media Oasis" in its tenth edition in partnership with the Ministry of Media, which hosts pavilions for several major national projects and initiatives such as NEOM and Saudi Spirit, alongside government entities including the Ministry of Sports, the Saudi Space Agency, the Asir Development Authority, and Saudi Digital, in addition to local and global participation in RegTech technologies.
The exhibition will also host the Sync Summit for Digital Balance, one of the initiatives of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), under the slogan "Generation Alpha, the AI Generation... Who Will Protect Our Next Generation?" On September 2, the event will host TEDxRiyadh sessions under the slogan "Beyond Boundaries," where 12 inspiring entrepreneurial and technological stories and experiences in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation will be presented.
The exhibition agenda includes panel discussions on the future of artificial intelligence, challenges of regulatory governance for quantum technologies, the role of infrastructure and regulatory policies in empowering the gaming and esports sector, in addition to the SpaceUp competition for developing innovative space solutions that serve vital sectors.
