شاركت المملكة العربية السعودية -ممثلة بوزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط- في اجتماع وزراء التنمية لمجموعة العشرين تحت رئاسة جنوب أفريقيا، الذي عقد في مبومالانجا، خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 25 يوليو الجاري.
ومثّل المملكة -نيابةً عن وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط- وكيل الشؤون الاقتصادية الدولية في وزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط راكان طرابزوني.
وشملت مشاركته في أعمال الاجتماع حضور جلسات فريق العمل المعني بالتنمية، إلى جانب عقد سلسلة من الاجتماعات الثنائية مع كبار المسؤولين من دول مجموعة العشرين والمنظمات الدولية.
وسلّطت مشاركة المملكة الضوء على مساهماتها في إبراز ترابط الأمن الغذائي والمائي والطاقة ركيزةً أساسيةً للحماية الاجتماعية، إذ أكّدت المملكة أهمية تعزيز تعبئة الموارد المحلية ومكافحة التدفقات المالية غير المشروعة من أجل دعم جهود التنمية المستدامة، بوصفها عناصر محورية لتحقيق نمو اقتصادي شامل وضمان مستقبل مزدهر للجميع.
وفي العام 2024، خلال اجتماع وزراء التنمية لمجموعة العشرين، برئاسة البرازيل، شارك وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط فيصل بن فاضل الإبراهيم في إطلاق فريق العمل المعني بالتحالف العالمي لمكافحة الجوع والفقر، المنبثق عن رئاسة مجموعة العشرين البرازيلية؛ بهدف تسريع ومواءمة الجهود العالمية للقضاء على الفقر والجوع.
ويتولى فريق العمل المعني بالتنمية، الذي أُنشئ في عام 2010، مهمة تحديد جدول أعمال مجموعة العشرين بشأن التنمية والحد من الفقر، مع إعطاء الأولوية للتعاون مع الدول النامية، لاسيما الدول ذات الدخل المنخفض.
ومنذ عام 2016، يُعد فريق العمل المعني بالتنمية المُنسق الرئيسي لجميع فعاليات قمة مجموعة العشرين المتعلقة بالتنمية المستدامة، وذلك ضمن إطار جدول أعمال 2030 للتنمية المستدامة، التي تلتزم بها المملكة منذ وقت إطلاقها في عام 2015.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, participated in the G20 Development Ministers' Meeting under the presidency of South Africa, which was held in Mpumalanga from July 24 to 25.
Representing the Kingdom on behalf of the Minister of Economy and Planning was the Undersecretary for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Rakan Tarabzoni.
His participation in the meeting included attending sessions of the working group on development, as well as holding a series of bilateral meetings with senior officials from G20 countries and international organizations.
The Kingdom's participation highlighted its contributions to emphasizing the interconnection of food, water, and energy security as a fundamental pillar of social protection. The Kingdom affirmed the importance of enhancing the mobilization of local resources and combating illicit financial flows to support sustainable development efforts, as these are pivotal elements for achieving inclusive economic growth and ensuring a prosperous future for all.
In 2024, during the G20 Development Ministers' Meeting, chaired by Brazil, the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadhil al-Ibrahim, participated in the launch of the working group on the Global Alliance for the Fight Against Hunger and Poverty, which emerged from the Brazilian G20 presidency, aimed at accelerating and aligning global efforts to eradicate poverty and hunger.
The working group on development, established in 2010, is tasked with setting the G20 agenda on development and poverty reduction, prioritizing cooperation with developing countries, particularly low-income countries.
Since 2016, the working group on development has been the main coordinator for all G20 summit activities related to sustainable development, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which the Kingdom has committed to since its launch in 2015.
