في خطوة لدعم حركة الصادرات الوطنية وتعزيز مكانة المملكة كمركز لوجستي عالمي، ورفع تصنيف المملكة في مؤشرات الأداء العالمية، أعلنت الهيئة العامة للموانئ «موانئ» عن تفعيل خدمة الشحن الجديدة «FRS1» إلى ميناء جدة الإسلامي، ما يسهم في تعزيز تنافسية الميناء، وتوسيع شبكة خدماته البحرية، ودعم كفاءته التشغيلية، وترسيخ مكانته كمحور لوجستي إستراتيجي على ساحل البحر الأحمر.
وتعمل خدمة الشحن الجديدة على ربط ميناء جدة الإسلامي، بخمسة موانئ إقليمية وعالمية، تشمل موانئنينغبو، و شنغهاي، ونانشا في الصين، والعقبة بالأردن، والسخنة في مصر، بطاقة استيعابية تصل إلى 2000 حاوية قياسية.
يأتي ذلك ضمن الجهود لتعزيز تصنيف المملكة في مؤشرات الأداء العالمية، بما يدعم حركة الصادرات الوطنية، تماشياً مع مستهدفات الإستراتيجية الوطنية للنقل والخدمات اللوجستية، بترسيخ مكانة المملكة كمركز لوجستي عالمي، ومحور ربط القارات الثلاث.
يُذكر أن ميناء جدة الإسلامي يتمتع بطاقة استيعابية عالية تصل إلى 130 مليون طن، وخدمات لوجستية متقدمة، من خلال 62 رصيفاً متعددة الأغراض، إضافة إلى عدد من المحطات المتخصصة، والتجهيزات المتطورة، التي تشمل محطتين لمناوَلة الحاويات بطاقة مناوَلة 7.5 مليون حاوية قياسية، ومحطتين للبضائع العامة، وحوضين لإصلاح السفن وصيانة القطع البحرية، ومجموعة أرصفة للخدمات البحرية.
In a move to support the national export movement and enhance the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub, as well as to improve the Kingdom's ranking in global performance indicators, the General Authority for Ports "Mawani" announced the activation of the new shipping service "FRS1" to the Islamic Port of Jeddah. This contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the port, expanding its maritime service network, supporting its operational efficiency, and solidifying its position as a strategic logistics hub on the Red Sea coast.
The new shipping service connects the Islamic Port of Jeddah with five regional and global ports, including the ports of Ningbo, Shanghai, and Nansha in China, Aqaba in Jordan, and Sokhna in Egypt, with a capacity of up to 2,000 standard containers.
This initiative is part of efforts to enhance the Kingdom's ranking in global performance indicators, supporting the national export movement, in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a connector of the three continents.
It is worth noting that the Islamic Port of Jeddah has a high capacity of up to 130 million tons and advanced logistics services, through 62 multi-purpose berths, in addition to several specialized terminals and advanced equipment, which include two container handling terminals with a handling capacity of 7.5 million standard containers, two general cargo terminals, two dry docks for ship repair and marine parts maintenance, and a set of berths for marine services.
