استقبل وزير الطاقة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، في الرياض، المدير العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية رافائيل غروسي.
وناقش الاجتماع الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، ومستجدات البرنامج الوطني للطاقة الذرية، وما حُقق من تقدم بالتعاون مع الوكالة، كما تم بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الفني والتقني، وتطبيق أعلى المعايير الدولية للسلامة والأمن النوويين.
كما ناقش الاجتماع، ترتيبات عقد المؤتمر الدولي للطوارئ النووية والإشعاعية الذي تستضيفه المملكة من خلال هيئة الرقابة النووية والإشعاعية في الرياض بالتعاون مع الوكالة في ديسمبر 2025م.
ويأتي اللقاء في إطار التعاون المستمر بين المملكة والوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، الذي يشمل مجالات عدة من بينها تبادل الخبرات وتعزيز القدرات الوطنية في مجال الطاقة النووية والإشعاعية لتطوير البنية التحتية النووية، بما يدعم دور هذا القطاع في تنويع مزيج الطاقة وتحقيق الاستدامة وفق رؤية المملكة 2030.

The Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, received the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, in Riyadh.
The meeting discussed topics of mutual interest, updates on the national atomic energy program, and the progress made in cooperation with the agency. It also explored ways to enhance technical and technological cooperation and to implement the highest international standards for nuclear safety and security.
The meeting also addressed arrangements for holding the International Conference on Nuclear and Radiological Emergencies, which will be hosted by the Kingdom through the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority in Riyadh in collaboration with the agency in December 2025.
This meeting comes as part of the ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom and the International Atomic Energy Agency, which includes several areas such as exchanging expertise and enhancing national capabilities in the field of nuclear and radiological energy to develop nuclear infrastructure, supporting the role of this sector in diversifying the energy mix and achieving sustainability in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
