تشارك المملكة العربية السعودية في المنتدى السياسي رفيع المستوى 2025 التابع للأمم المتحدة، الذي يُعقد خلال الفترة 14 إلى 23 يوليو 2025 في مدينة نيويورك، حيث يجمع المنتدى مختلف الدول الأعضاء لمراجعة الجهود الدولية والتقدم المحرز في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة ضمن جدول أعمال 2030.
ويرأس وفد المملكة المُشارك في المنتدى وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط فيصل الإبراهيم، ويضم الوفد ممثلين من تسع جهات حكومية، تشمل: وزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، وزارة الخارجية، وزارة الصحة، وزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية، وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة، الصندوق السعودي للتنمية، هيئة تطوير منطقة المدينة المنورة، المركز الوطني لتنمية الحياة الفطرية وبرنامج جودة الحياة.
وسيشارك أعضاء وفد المملكة من مختلف الجهات من خلال تقديم المداخلات الرسمية باسم المملكة في المنتدى.
وسيلقي وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط كلمة المملكة خلال الجزء الوزاري من المنتدى، يستعرض فيها أبرز جهود المملكة في تسريع تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة ضمن رؤية المملكة 2030.
وسيعقد على هامش المنتدى عدد من الاجتماعات الثنائية مع نظراء من الدول الأعضاء والمنظمات الدولية ذات العلاقة، وذلك لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون لتسريع تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة ضمن جدول أعمال 2030.
وضمن أعمال الوفد المشارك في المنتدى السياسي رفيع المستوى لعام 2025، ستعقد المملكة عدداً من الفعاليات الجانبية والمعارض المصاحبة، منها: جلسة حوارية بعنوان: «حل تعقيدات الاستدامة من خلال تعاون شامل ومتكامل عبر القطاعات المختلفة»، وجلسة حوارية بعنوان: «العمل محلياً لتحقيق الأثر عالمياً: تعزيز الحلول الشاملة المبنية على العلم والأدلة لتوطين أهداف التنمية المستدامة في المنطقة العربية»، وجلسة حوارية مشتركة بين المملكة العربية السعودية ومملكة تايلند بعنوان: «الاستفادة من التقنية والبيانات لتعزيز وتيرة تنفيذ ومتابعة أهداف التنمية المستدامة»، إلى جانب معرض ينظّمه الصندوق السعودي للتنمية بعنوان: «تمكين التنمية العالمية عبر الشراكات وتحقيق الأثر».
وتؤكد مشاركة المملكة التزامها بدمج مبادئ رؤية السعودية 2030 مع إطار العمل العالمي لأهداف التنمية المستدامة.
وقدمت المملكة تقارير المراجعة المحلية الطوعية العام الماضي، إضافة إلى تقديم مراجعات وطنية طوعية في المنتدى السياسي رفيع المستوى في عامي 2018 و2023، استعرضت من خلالها تقدم المملكة الكبير في مختلف مجالات التنمية المستدامة.
ويُعقد المنتدى السياسي رفيع المستوى هذا العام تحت شعار: «تعزيز الحلول المستدامة والشاملة والمبنية على الأدلة لتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030 دون ترك أحد خلف الركب»، إذ يركز على مراجعة عدد من أهداف التنمية المُستدامة بشكل تفصيلي، وهي: الهدف الثالث: الصحة الجيدة والرفاه، والهدف الخامس: المساواة بين الجنسين، والهدف الثامن: العمل اللائق ونمو الاقتصاد، والهدف الرابع عشر: الحياة تحت الماء، والهدف السابع عشر: عقد الشراكات لتحقيق الأهداف.
يذكر أنّ المنتدى السياسي رفيع المستوى يُعقد سنوياً منذ عام 2012 تحت رعاية المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participates in the 2025 High-Level Political Forum of the United Nations, which will be held from July 14 to 23, 2025, in New York City. The forum brings together various member states to review international efforts and progress made in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals within the 2030 Agenda.
The Saudi delegation participating in the forum is headed by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, and includes representatives from nine governmental entities, including: the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Saudi Fund for Development, the Medina Region Development Authority, the National Center for Wildlife Development, and the Quality of Life Program.
Members of the Saudi delegation from various entities will participate by delivering official statements on behalf of the Kingdom at the forum.
The Minister of Economy and Planning will deliver the Kingdom's speech during the ministerial segment of the forum, highlighting the Kingdom's key efforts in accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals within the framework of Vision 2030.
Several bilateral meetings will be held on the sidelines of the forum with counterparts from member states and relevant international organizations to discuss ways to enhance cooperation to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals within the 2030 Agenda.
As part of the activities of the delegation participating in the 2025 High-Level Political Forum, the Kingdom will hold a number of side events and accompanying exhibitions, including a panel discussion titled: "Solving Sustainability Complexities through Comprehensive and Integrated Cooperation Across Different Sectors," and a panel discussion titled: "Acting Locally to Achieve Global Impact: Enhancing Comprehensive Solutions Based on Science and Evidence to Localize the Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab Region," as well as a joint panel discussion between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Thailand titled: "Leveraging Technology and Data to Enhance the Pace of Implementing and Monitoring Sustainable Development Goals," along with an exhibition organized by the Saudi Fund for Development titled: "Empowering Global Development through Partnerships and Achieving Impact."
The Kingdom's participation reaffirms its commitment to integrating the principles of Vision 2030 with the global framework for the Sustainable Development Goals.
Last year, the Kingdom submitted voluntary local review reports, in addition to presenting voluntary national reviews at the High-Level Political Forum in 2018 and 2023, showcasing the Kingdom's significant progress in various areas of sustainable development.
This year's High-Level Political Forum is held under the theme: "Accelerating Sustainable and Inclusive Solutions Based on Evidence to Achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Without Leaving Anyone Behind," focusing on a detailed review of several Sustainable Development Goals, namely: Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 5: Gender Equality, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 14: Life Below Water, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
It is worth noting that the High-Level Political Forum has been held annually since 2012 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
