أعلنت منظمة التعاون الرقمي اليوم إعادة تعيين الأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الرقمي ديمة بنت يحيى اليحيى لفترة جديدة مدتها 4 سنوات. وتم اعتماد هذا القرار رسميا خلال اجتماع مجلس المنظمة، الذي عُقد افتراضيا من دولة الكويت، وبترشيح من المملكة العربية السعودية، وموافقة الدول الأعضاء.
إن إعادة تعيين الأمين العام للمنظمة ديمة بنت يحيى اليحيى هو تمهيد لتنفيذ أجندة المنظمة على مدى السنوات الأربع القادمة، التي تم الإعلان عنها في فبراير 2025 خلال الدورة الرابعة للجمعية العامة للمنظمة. حيث إن الأجندة تُركز على دعم جهود التعاون الرامية إلى تعزيز مرونة الاقتصاد الرقمي، والازدهار الاجتماعي من خلال تحسين مستويات النضج الرقمي للدول الأعضاء.
وبهذا الصدد، قال وزير الدولة لشؤون الاتصالات في الكويت رئيس مجلس منظمة التعاون الرقمي للدورة الحالية عمر سعود العمر مهنئاً الأمين العام: «باسم مجلس منظمة التعاون الرقمي، أتقدم بخالص آيات التهاني لسعادة الأمين العام على إعادة تعيينها لدورة جديدة. يشهد هذا القرار الذي اتخذه المجلس على المكانة القيادية المُثلى التي تولتها الأمين العام خلال فترتها الأولى، ونتطلع إلى استمرارية نجاحات منظمة التعاون الرقمي خلال السنوات الأربع القادمة».
ومن جانبها، قالت الأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الرقمي ديمة بنت يحيى اليحيى: «أعرب عن امتناني العميق للثقة التي منحني إياها مجلس منظمة التعاون الرقمي بإعادة تعييني أميناً عاماً للمنظمة للأربع سنوات القادمة، كما أود أن أعبّر عن شكري لحكومة المملكة العربية السعودية على ترشيحي لهذا المنصب وأتشرّف بتحمّل هذه المسؤولية بثقة وعزيمة راسخة لخدمة الدول الأعضاء وتحقيق تطلعاتنا المشتركة. خلال السنوات الماضية، بنينا معاً أساساً متيناً، ووسّعنا حضور المنظمة عالمياً، ورسخنا مكانة التعاون الرقمي كركيزة للتنمية الشاملة. ومع ذلك، لا تزال التحديات قائمة، من الفجوة الرقمية إلى التسارع الكبير في وتيرة الابتكار. أجدد التزامي الكامل بخدمة الدول الأعضاء بكل شفافية ومرونة وتركيز موجه نحو تحقيق رسالتنا المشتركة. بوحدتنا، سنواصل تحقيق أثر ملموس وتعزيز مستقبل رقمي مزدهر، شامل، وقادر على الصمود للجميع».
ومنذ تأسيسها، قدمت المنظمة مجموعة من الأدوات العملية لمساعدة الدول على تطوير اقتصادات رقمية أكثر شمولية واستدامة وجاهزية للمستقبل. ومن ضمن هذه الأدوات «مقياس نضج الاقتصاد الرقمي DEN»، وهي أداة تمكّن الدول من استكشاف مسارات النضج في الاقتصاد الرقمي، وايجاد فرص النمو، وقياس التقدم المحرز، وسد فجوات نضج الاقتصاد الرقمي.
وتحقيقاً لهذه الغاية، عملت منظمة التعاون الرقمي، بقيادة الأمين العام ديمة بنت يحيى اليحيى على زيادة عدد الدول الأعضاء من خمس دول مؤسِّسة إلى 16 دولة، ورسخت مكانتها كمنظمة دولية متعددة الأطراف، تركز على تمكين الدول من صياغة السياسات وتطوير البنى التحتية الرقمية التي تتيح الفرص الاقتصادية، وتمكن الشباب ورواد الأعمال، وتُعزز مستوى التوافق مع أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
إن إعادة تعيين الأمين العام تعكس إيمان الدول الأعضاء بأن الاستمرارية والتنفيذ الموثوق هما أساس المرحلة القادمة التي ستخوضها المنظمة.
وتأسست منظمة التعاون الرقمي كمنظمة دولية متعددة الأطراف في نوفمبر 2020، وتضم 16 دولة عضواً تمثل مجتمعة ناتجاً محلياً إجمالياً تتخطى قيمته 3.5 تريليون دولار، وعدد سكان يتجاوز 800 مليون نسمة، 70% منهم تحت سن الـ 35، وتسعى إلى تمكين الازدهار الرقمي للجميع عبر مد جسور التعاون لتوحيد جهود التحول الرقمي ودعم المصالح المشتركة.
The Digital Cooperation Organization announced today the reappointment of the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization, Dima bint Yahya Al-Yahya, for a new term of 4 years. This decision was officially approved during the organization's council meeting, which was held virtually from the State of Kuwait, with a nomination from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the approval of the member states.
The reappointment of the organization's Secretary-General, Dima bint Yahya Al-Yahya, paves the way for implementing the organization's agenda over the next four years, which was announced in February 2025 during the fourth session of the organization's General Assembly. The agenda focuses on supporting collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing the resilience of the digital economy and social prosperity by improving the digital maturity levels of member states.
In this regard, the Minister of State for Communications in Kuwait and current Chair of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council, Omar Saud Al-Amar, congratulated the Secretary-General, stating: "On behalf of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Her Excellency the Secretary-General on her reappointment for a new term. This decision made by the council reflects the exemplary leadership position that the Secretary-General held during her first term, and we look forward to the continued successes of the Digital Cooperation Organization over the next four years."
For her part, the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization, Dima bint Yahya Al-Yahya, said: "I express my deep gratitude for the trust bestowed upon me by the Digital Cooperation Organization Council in reappointing me as Secretary-General for the next four years. Since its establishment, the organization has provided a range of practical tools to help countries develop more inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready digital economies. Among these tools is the "Digital Economy Maturity Scale (DEN)," which enables countries to explore maturity pathways in the digital economy, identify growth opportunities, measure progress, and bridge digital economy maturity gaps.
To this end, the Digital Cooperation Organization, led by Secretary-General Dima bint Yahya Al-Yahya, has worked to increase the number of member states from five founding countries to 16 countries, establishing its position as a multilateral international organization focused on empowering countries to formulate policies and develop digital infrastructures that enable economic opportunities, empower youth and entrepreneurs, and enhance alignment with sustainable development goals.
The reappointment of the Secretary-General reflects the member states' belief that continuity and reliable implementation are the foundation for the next phase that the organization will undertake.
The Digital Cooperation Organization was established as a multilateral international organization in November 2020, comprising 16 member states that collectively represent a gross domestic product exceeding $3.5 trillion and a population of over 800 million, 70% of whom are under the age of 35. It seeks to empower digital prosperity for all by building bridges of cooperation to unify efforts in digital transformation and support common interests.
