Maher Al-Harbi reveals the MAO industrial service complex covering an area of one million square meters in a comprehensive administrative industrial project aimed at reshaping the scaffolding industry from the Kingdom to global markets.
An industrial giant formed by Manar Al-Omaran, which includes the largest Ringlock factory in the world, is also leading the transformation of the scaffolding industry with systems developed in collaboration with SABIC Research and Aramco.
From the heart of the Eastern Province, where the features of the Saudi industrial transformation are accelerating, Manar Al-Omaran MAO is writing a new chapter in its journey that began in 1974 with a project that goes beyond the concept of traditional expansion towards building a comprehensive industrial system that launches from the Kingdom to global markets.
Maher Al-Harbi, Chairman of the Board of Manar Al-Omaran, revealed the MAO industrial complex, which is a comprehensive administrative industrial complex extending over an area of nearly one million square meters and includes five production factories alongside the company's main administrative headquarters, representing the largest cooperative investment in its history.
Al-Harbi stated that the project transitions Manar Al-Omaran from its regional leadership in scaffolding rental and services to the local manufacturing of systems and components from steel, aluminum, cast iron, and polymers to serve mega projects and the energy and infrastructure sectors as well as global export markets.
Saudi Leadership Opens New Horizons for Industry in the Middle East
Al-Harbi confirmed that Manar Al-Omaran is moving forward with this project towards an unprecedented step in the scaffolding sector, being the first company in the field, especially in the Middle East, and aims to export 40% of its production volume to the United States.
At the heart of the project, the scaffolding and industrial steel complex extends over an area of 750,000 square meters and includes eight integrated production facilities covering the manufacturing of scaffolding systems, pipes, metal shoring, and steel structures, in addition to galvanizing, coating, and maintenance.
Aluminum Factory
The aluminum factory includes its derivatives from hard alloys with eight advanced presses, four of which have a diameter of 12 inches, in a system considered the largest of its kind in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The advanced foundry for aluminum molds is one of the main components of the project, dedicated to producing molds with a diameter of 12 inches from high-strength alloys with global specifications. By relying on recycled aluminum materials, the foundry contributes to reducing the carbon footprint of the products and increasing resource efficiency, while providing a reliable and sustainable source of raw materials and ensuring the continuity of supplies necessary for production operations.
From Oil to a Saudi Product Ready for the World
Al-Harbi describes the essence of industrial integration in the project as a single scene where raw steel enters the complex, goes through internal manufacturing stages, and then exits as a final galvanized and coated product ready for shipment without outsourcing production stages, with a capacity of 1,200 metric tons per day, making the complex the largest scaffolding factory in the world within a single industrial site.
The system does not stop at steel; the project includes a specialized foundry that relies on DISAMATIC technology to produce components for scaffolding systems and an aluminum extrusion factory with eight presses, with an annual capacity of nearly 200,000 metric tons, in addition to facilities for coating, anodizing, and producing aluminum blocks.
SABIC and Aramco at the Heart of the Development Journey "Era of Transformation" for Plastics – Fiberglass
Al-Harbi places innovation at the heart of the company's industrial transformation, confirming that Manar Al-Omaran has developed systems in the company in collaboration with SABIC Research and Aramco, enhancing its capabilities in research and development and building advanced industrial solutions locally.
Al-Harbi summarizes the vision behind the project by saying: For over 50 years, we have provided scaffolding that contributed to building the Kingdom, and today we are building the factories that will build the next fifty years. He adds: Upon completion of the complex, components of scaffolding and shoring systems will emerge from a single industrial site in the Eastern Province, made in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Manar Al-Omaran. Al-Harbi concludes his vision with a message that encapsulates the magnitude of ambition: We are not entering the manufacturing market; we are redefining its size and standards from the Kingdom to the world.
