أعلن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، تطوير شركة القدية للاستثمار ثلاثة متنزهات ترفيهية في منطقة سيرجي بونتواز الفرنسية، باستثمارات تبلغ 6 مليارات يورو، ما يسهم في توفير 22 ألف فرصة عمل.
ووصف ماكرون المشروع، الذي يأتي بالتعاون مع السعودية، بأنه إعلان غير مسبوق وإنجاز لم تشهده فرنسا منذ إنشاء «ديزني لاند باريس»، مؤكداً أنه سيشكل وجهة عالمية جديدة في فرنسا.
وقال الرئيس الفرنسي: «شكراً للقدية وللمملكة العربية السعودية على ثقتهما ببلادنا وكفاءاتنا ومستقبلنا».
وأشار إلى أن المشروع يجسد أهداف مبادرة «اختر فرنسا»، الرامية إلى استقطاب أكثر المشاريع طموحاً، وتحويل فرنسا إلى وجهة للاستثمارات التي توفر فرص العمل وتعزز حضورها عالمياً، مضيفاً: «لم ننتهِ بعد من مفاجأة العالم، وفخور جداً بهذا الإنجاز».
French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Qiddiya Investment Company will develop three amusement parks in the French region of Cesson-Pontault, with investments amounting to 6 billion euros, contributing to the creation of 22,000 job opportunities.
Macron described the project, which comes in collaboration with Saudi Arabia, as an unprecedented announcement and an achievement not seen in France since the establishment of "Disneyland Paris," emphasizing that it will create a new global destination in France.
The French president said, "Thank you to Qiddiya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their trust in our country, our capabilities, and our future."
He noted that the project embodies the goals of the "Choose France" initiative, aimed at attracting the most ambitious projects and transforming France into a destination for investments that create job opportunities and enhance its global presence, adding, "We are not done surprising the world yet, and I am very proud of this achievement."
