ارتفعت أسعار الذهب والفضة عند تسوية تعاملاتها اليوم (الجمعة) بدعم من تراجع الدولار وتقلص احتمالات التشديد النقدي في أمريكا بصورة طفيفة، إلا أن المعدنين النفيسين سجلا خسارة أسبوعية.
وتراجعت الفضة 10.62% في أسبوع، لتنخفض الأوقية إلى 59.22 دولار بنهاية اليوم (الجمعة).
وجاء الانخفاض المحدود في احتمالات رفع الفيدرالي أسعار الفائدة بعدما جاءت قراءة المؤشر الأساسي لأسعار نفقات الاستهلاك الشخصي متوافقة مع التوقعات، ليتعافى الذهب من ضغوط البيع التي شهدها في الجلسات الأولى من الأسبوع.
وساهم في تحسن آفاق السياسة النقدية الأمريكية استمرار تدفق النفط عبر مضيق هرمز بعد التهدئة الأخيرة بين واشنطن وطهران، إلا أن رئيس الفيدرالي في مينيابوليس «نيل كاشكاري»، حذر من اتساع الضغوط التضخمية، مما دفعه إلى توقع رفع الفائدة مرة واحدة هذا العام.
Gold and silver prices rose at the close of trading today (Friday) supported by a decline in the dollar and a slight reduction in the likelihood of monetary tightening in the U.S., although the precious metals recorded a weekly loss.
Silver fell 10.62% over the week, with the ounce dropping to $59.22 by the end of the day (Friday).
The limited decline in the likelihood of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates came after the core personal consumption expenditures price index reading was in line with expectations, allowing gold to recover from the selling pressures it experienced in the early sessions of the week.
The continued flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz following the recent easing between Washington and Tehran contributed to improving the outlook for U.S. monetary policy; however, the Minneapolis Fed President, Neel Kashkari, warned of widening inflationary pressures, prompting him to predict one interest rate hike this year.
