ذكرت قناة «CTV» نيوز أن مسؤولين كنديين سيلتقون نظراء لهم من المكسيك والولايات المتحدة في 1 يوليو في أول اجتماع ثلاثي لمراجعة اتفاقية التجارة بين الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك.
وأوضحت القناة أمس الأول (السبت) أن لدى دول أمريكا الشمالية أسباباً وجيهة لتعزيز علاقاتها الاقتصادية خلال عام 2026، خصوصاً أن في يونيو الجاري تستضيف كل من المكسيك والولايات المتحدة وكندا بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم للرجال.
وخلال شهر يوليو ستبدأ الدول الثلاث بمراجعة اتفاقية التجارة الحرة، الأمر في غاية الأهمية، إذ تعد أمريكا الشمالية أكبر تكتل للتجارة الحرة في العالم من حيث الناتج، حيث يبلغ إجمالي الناتج المحلي 31 تريليون دولار، أي ما يعادل 28% من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي العالمي.
وتعد اقتصادات هذه الدول مرتبطة ببعضها البعض ومتكاملة حيث توفر الولايات المتحدة رأس المال والابتكار، فيما تقدم كندا الموارد الطبيعية والطاقة، والمكسيك توفر العمالة والتصنيع.
CTV News reported that Canadian officials will meet with their counterparts from Mexico and the United States on July 1 for the first trilateral meeting to review the trade agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The channel explained the day before yesterday (Saturday) that North American countries have good reasons to strengthen their economic relations during the year 2026, especially since in June, Mexico, the United States, and Canada will host the Men's FIFA World Cup.
In July, the three countries will begin reviewing the free trade agreement, which is of utmost importance, as North America is the largest free trade bloc in the world in terms of output, with a total GDP of $31 trillion, accounting for 28% of the global GDP.
The economies of these countries are interconnected and integrated, with the United States providing capital and innovation, Canada supplying natural resources and energy, and Mexico offering labor and manufacturing.
