ارتفعت أسعار النفط بأكثر من 1% اليوم (الجمعة) بعد تجدد القتال بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران مما هدد وقف إطلاق النار الهش وبدد الآمال في إحراز تقدم بشأن إعادة فتح مضيق هرمز الحيوي لنقل النفط والغاز.
وصعدت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت 1.41 دولار أو 1.41% إلى 101.47 دولار للبرميل بحلول الساعة 01:23 بتوقيت غرينتش. وارتفعت العقود الآجلة لخام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأميركي 1.12 دولار أو 1.18% إلى 95.93 دولار للبرميل. وارتفعت الأسعار بأكثر من 3% في مستهل التعاملات بالسوق.
وأنهى هذا الارتفاع ثلاثة أيام من التراجعات بعد تقارير صدرت في وقت سابق من هذا الأسبوع تفيد بأن الولايات المتحدة وإيران تقتربان من التوصل إلى اتفاق ينهي القتال ويسمح بإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز بالكامل لكنه يؤجل البت في قضايا أكثر جدلاً لمرحلة لاحقة، ويتجه الخامان للتراجع بنحو 6% هذا الأسبوع.
وجاءت الزيادة الكبيرة في الأسعار اليوم (الجمعة) عقب اتهامات إيرانية للولايات المتحدة بانتهاك وقف إطلاق النار القائم منذ شهر، فيما قالت الولايات المتحدة إن هجماتها جاءت رداً على إطلاق إيران النار أمس (الخميس) على سفن تابعة لبحريتها لدى عبور المضيق.
Oil prices rose by more than 1% today (Friday) after renewed fighting between the United States and Iran, threatening the fragile ceasefire and dispelling hopes for progress on reopening the vital Strait of Hormuz for oil and gas transport.
Brent crude futures increased by $1.41 or 1.41% to $101.47 per barrel by 01:23 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose by $1.12 or 1.18% to $95.93 per barrel. Prices increased by more than 3% at the start of trading in the market.
This rise ended three days of declines following reports earlier this week that the United States and Iran were nearing an agreement to end the fighting and allow for the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, but postponing the resolution of more contentious issues to a later stage. Both crude types are heading for a decline of about 6% this week.
The significant increase in prices today (Friday) came after Iranian accusations against the United States of violating the ceasefire that has been in place for a month, while the United States stated that its attacks were in response to Iran firing on Thursday at its navy vessels as they crossed the strait.
