أظهرت وثيقة، اليوم، أن وزارة الصناعة اليابانية طلبت من تجار الجملة المحليين التحول إلى تسعير خام برنت بدلا من الاعتماد على مؤشر خام دبي عند تحديد أسعار البنزين في محاولة لاحتواء ارتفاع الأسعار. وذلك بحسب ما نشر موقع «العربية. نت».
مجموعة أدوات
يأتي الإجراء ضمن مجموعة أدوات استخدمتها اليابان، التي تعتمد على الشرق الأوسط في الحصول على أكثر من 90% من احتياجاتها النفطية، لمواجهة الاضطرابات الناجمة عن حرب إيران.
وتنوعت هذه الأدوات بين السحب الجزئي من احتياطيات النفط والنظر في التدخل في سوق العقود الآجلة للنفط الخام للتعامل مع تراجع الين.
وأحجمت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة والصناعة عن التعليق على الوثيقة.
وحالياً تناول عقود الآجلة لخام برنت في حدود 100 دولار للبرميل، وهو أرخص من خام دبي القياسي في آسيا، لذا فإن الوثيقة تقول إن التحول سيحد من ارتفاع أسعار البنزين، وتقترح أيضا أن يواصل تجار الجملة تسعير منتجاتهم على أساس خام برنت من الآن فصاعدا.
وهذه التوجيهات الإدارية من الحكومة ليست ملزمة قانوناً، لكن الشركات عادة ما تمتثل لها.
A document revealed today that the Japanese Ministry of Industry has requested local wholesalers to shift to pricing Brent crude instead of relying on the Dubai crude index when determining gasoline prices in an effort to contain rising costs. This was reported by the website "Al Arabiya.net".
Toolset
This measure is part of a toolset that Japan, which relies on the Middle East for over 90% of its oil needs, has used to address the disruptions caused by the Iran war.
These tools have varied from partial withdrawals from oil reserves to considering intervention in the crude oil futures market to deal with the decline of the yen.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry refrained from commenting on the document.
Currently, Brent crude futures are trading around $100 per barrel, which is cheaper than the Dubai benchmark in Asia, so the document states that the shift will limit the rise in gasoline prices, and also suggests that wholesalers continue to price their products based on Brent crude from now on.
These administrative directives from the government are not legally binding, but companies typically comply with them.
