وهبطت أسعار العقود الآجلة للمعدن الأصفر تسليم شهر أبريل القادم بنسبة 2.35% أو 108 دولارات عند 4,444.30 دولار للأوقية، بعدما لامست 4,409.30 دولار.
وانخفض سعر التسليم الفوري للذهب بنسبة 1.45% عند 4,441.03 دولار للأوقية، وخسر نظيره للفضة نحو 4.5% ليتداول عند 68 دولارًا للأوقية.

وارتفع مؤشر الدولار -الذي يقيس أداء العملة الأمريكية أمام سلة من ست عملات رئيسية- بنسبة 0.25% ليتداول عند 99.83 نقطة.
وتراجعت العقود الآجلة للفضة تسليم مايو بنسبة 6% عند 68.27 دولار للأوقية، وهبطت الأسعار الفورية للبلاتين بنحو 2.3% عند 1,880.97 دولار، وانخفضت نظيرتها للبلاديوم 2.15% عند 1,385.79 دولار.
ويأتي هذا وسط تضارب الأنباء الدبلوماسية، إذ صرح الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أن إيران تسعى جاهدة لإبرام اتفاق ينهي نحو أربعة أسابيع من القتال، بينما نفى وزير الخارجية الإيراني وجود نية لإجراء محادثات لإنهاء النزاع.
After a series of gains that lasted for two consecutive sessions, amid the ambiguity of the geopolitical scene and its direct impact on global monetary policies, gold prices reduced their losses during today's trading.
Futures prices for the yellow metal for April delivery fell by 2.35% or $108 to $4,444.30 per ounce, after touching $4,409.30.
The spot price of gold decreased by 1.45% to $4,441.03 per ounce, while its silver counterpart lost about 4.5%, trading at $68 per ounce.

The dollar index - which measures the performance of the U.S. currency against a basket of six major currencies - rose by 0.25% to trade at 99.83 points.
Silver futures for May delivery fell by 6% to $68.27 per ounce, while spot platinum prices dropped by about 2.3% to $1,880.97, and palladium prices decreased by 2.15% to $1,385.79.
This comes amid conflicting diplomatic news, as U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran is striving to reach an agreement to end nearly four weeks of fighting, while the Iranian Foreign Minister denied any intention to hold talks to end the conflict.
