سجل الذهب خسائر للأسبوع الثاني على التوالي، متأثراً بارتفاع الدولار ومخاوف التضخم الناجمة عن الحرب في إيران، والتي أثرت سلباً على توقعات خفض أسعار الفائدة.
وانخفض سعر الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 1.2% إلى 5019.25 دولار للأونصة، مسجلاً انخفاضاً أسبوعياً بأكثر من 2.9%.
ونزلت العقود الأمريكية الآجلة للذهب تسليم شهر أبريل 1.25% إلى 5061 دولارا، لتعمق خسائرها الأسبوعية إلى 1.9%.
وسجل مؤشر الدولار ارتفاعا أسبوعيا بنسبة 1.4%، مما يجعل الذهب المسعر بالعملة الأمريكية أقل جاذبية لحائزي العملات الأخرى.
وبالنسبة للمعادن النفيسة الأخرى، تراجعت الفضة في المعاملات الفورية 3.8% إلى 80.12 دولار للأونصة، ونزل البلاتين 5.03% إلى 2042.08 دولار، وتراجع البلاديوم 4.06% إلى 1555.85 دولار.
Gold recorded losses for the second consecutive week, affected by the rise of the dollar and inflation fears stemming from the war in Iran, which negatively impacted expectations for interest rate cuts.
The price of gold in spot transactions fell by 1.2% to $5019.25 per ounce, marking a weekly decline of more than 2.9%.
U.S. gold futures for April delivery dropped by 1.25% to $5061, deepening their weekly losses to 1.9%.
The dollar index recorded a weekly increase of 1.4%, making gold priced in U.S. dollars less attractive to holders of other currencies.
As for other precious metals, silver in spot transactions fell by 3.8% to $80.12 per ounce, platinum dropped by 5.03% to $2042.08, and palladium decreased by 4.06% to $1555.85.
