أكد وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريف إن قرار إلغاء المقابل المالي المقرر على العمالة الوافدة في المنشآت الصناعية، سيكون عاملاً مهماً في خلق الاستقرار في السياسات المرتبطة بالاستثمار الصناعي.
وقال الخريف إن ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان كان يدافع عن القطاع بمعرفة تامة عن كل تفاصيله خلال الاجتماع الذي تم فيه اتخاذ القرار، وهو من قاد القرار ليتخذ بهذا الشكل وبهذه السرعة، وتم الإعلان عن القرار بسرعة غير مسبوقة، ولم تكن هناك جلسات لمجلس الوزراء بعد إعلان الميزانية وتم اتخاذ القرار بالتمرير لأهميته.
وأضاف الخريف في جلسة ضمن مجلس صناعيي الرياض الثامن، أن الإلغاء سيساهم كذلك في جعل المستثمرين الذين كانوا ينتظرون توجهات الحكومة في هذا الموضوع ينطلقون في اتخاذ قراراتهم الاستثمارية.
وذكر أن إلغاء المقابل المالي يعكس وضوح رؤية المملكة والقيادة تجاه هذا القطاع وأهميته في تنويع القاعدة الاقتصادية وزيادة الصادرات وخلق الفرص الوظيفية والاستثمارية المهمة لنمو القطاع غير النفطي.
وكان مجلس الوزراء قد اعتمد أخيراً، إلغاء المقابل المالي المقرر على العمالة الوافدة في المنشآت الصناعية المرخص لها بموجب ترخيص صناعي.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, confirmed that the decision to cancel the financial fee imposed on foreign labor in industrial establishments will be an important factor in creating stability in policies related to industrial investment.
Al-Khorayef added during a session at the Eighth Riyadh Industrialists Council that the cancellation will also contribute to enabling investors who were waiting for government directions on this matter to proceed with their investment decisions.
He mentioned that the cancellation of the financial fee reflects the clarity of the Kingdom's vision and leadership regarding this sector and its importance in diversifying the economic base, increasing exports, and creating significant job and investment opportunities for the growth of the non-oil sector.
He clarified that Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman was advocating for the sector with full knowledge of all its details during the meeting in which the decision was made, and he was the one who led the decision to be taken in this manner and at this speed. The announcement of the decision was made with unprecedented rapidity, and there were no Cabinet sessions after the budget announcement, and the decision was made through a fast-track process due to its importance.
The Cabinet had recently approved the cancellation of the financial fee imposed on foreign labor in industrial establishments licensed under an industrial license.
