كشف وزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات المهندس عبدالله السواحة، أن المملكة تصدرت دول مجموعة العشرين في التنافسية الرقمية، وبلغ حجم سوق الاتصالات والتقنية 190 مليار ريال بنسبة نمو 80%. وارتفع عدد المواهب الرقمية إلى 406 آلاف بنسبة نمو 62%، كما ارتفع حجم استثمارات رأس المال الجريء إلى 5.4 مليار ريال بنسبة نمو 3100%، وبلغ عدد الشركات التقنية المليارية 8 شركات تستحوذ على 50% من حصة المنطقة.
وأفاد الوزير السواحة، خلال عقده لقاءً موسعًا مع قطاع الأعمال في مقر اتحاد الغرف السعودية، بحضور رئيس الاتحاد حسن بن معجب الحويزي، ورؤساء اللجان الوطنية، ومجالس الأعمال الأجنبية، وعدد من ممثلي الشركات، أن البرنامج الوطني لتنمية تقنية المعلومات دعم أكثر من 3 آلاف شركة، وأسهم في تنفيذ 446 مشروعًا للذكاء الاصطناعي و1,187 مشروعًا ناشئًا، ووفر 17 ألف وظيفة.
بدعم ولي العهد.. منجزات عظيمة

وفي مستهل كلمته، أكد أن القطاع الخاص في مجالات التقنية والاتصالات والابتكار حقق منجزات عظيمة بدعم وتمكين ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، مبينًا أن القطاع الخاص هو الممكن والشريك الأول في كل ما تحقق من منجزات رقمية.
وأوضح أن رحلة التطوير انطلقت منذ عام 2017 عبر مرحلة التمكين التي شملت تحسين البيئة التشريعية والبنية الرقمية وإطلاق مشاريع نوعية ونماذج ابتكارية في التجارة والمدفوعات الرقمية، تلتها مرحلة التحول عام 2020 التي ركزت على تسريع نمو الاقتصاد الرقمي، وجذب الاستثمارات النوعية، وتعزيز المحتوى المحلي، وتمكين ريادة الأعمال والصناديق والشركات الريادية، وصولًا إلى مرحلة الابتكار في عام 2025، التي شهدت إطلاق شركة «هيوماين» الرائدة عالميًا في تطوير حلول الذكاء الاصطناعي.
السعودية الأولى عالمياً في الخدمات الرقمية الحكومية
من جهته، قال رئيس اتحاد الغرف السعودية حسن بن معجب الحويزي: «إن الدعم الذي قدمته القيادة الرشيدة جعل من المملكة الأولى عالميًا في الخدمات الرقمية الحكومية، وأن قطاع الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات رافد اقتصادي مهم ومسار للمستقبل»، مشيدًا بجهود الوزارة في أن يصبح قطاع الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات بالمملكة الأسرع نموًا والأكثر جذبًا للاستثمار، منوهًا بأهمية اللقاء في التكامل بين القطاعين العام والخاص في صناعة الفرص والمشاريع.
يُذكر أن اللقاء يأتي ضمن سلسلة اللقاءات الدورية التي يعقدها اتحاد الغرف السعودية مع المسؤولين الحكوميين؛ بهدف التشاور حول القرارات والأنظمة، ومناقشة المستجدات الاقتصادية، واستعراض الفرص الاستثمارية، والاستماع لمقترحات المستثمرين، بما يعزز بيئة الأعمال ويحفّز الاستثمارات المحلية والدولية.

The number of digital talents has risen to 406,000, with a growth rate of 62%, while venture capital investments have surged to 5.4 billion riyals, marking a growth rate of 3100%. The number of billion-dollar tech companies has reached 8, accounting for 50% of the region's share.
Minister Al-Sawaha stated during a broad meeting with the business sector at the headquarters of the Saudi Chambers Federation, in the presence of the Federation's President Hassan bin Mujahed Al-Huwaizi, national committee heads, foreign business councils, and several company representatives, that the National Program for Information Technology Development has supported over 3,000 companies, contributed to the implementation of 446 artificial intelligence projects and 1,187 startups, and provided 17,000 jobs.

At the beginning of his speech, he affirmed that the private sector in the fields of technology, communications, and innovation has achieved great accomplishments with the support and empowerment of the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, indicating that the private sector is the enabler and primary partner in all digital achievements.
He explained that the development journey began in 2017 through the empowerment phase, which included improving the legislative environment, digital infrastructure, launching qualitative projects, and innovative models in trade and digital payments. This was followed by the transformation phase in 2020, which focused on accelerating the growth of the digital economy, attracting quality investments, enhancing local content, and empowering entrepreneurship and venture capital firms, leading to the innovation phase in 2025, which saw the launch of "Humain," a global leader in developing artificial intelligence solutions.
Saudi Arabia Ranks First Globally in Government Digital Services
For his part, the President of the Saudi Chambers Federation, Hassan bin Mujahed Al-Huwaizi, said: "The support provided by the wise leadership has made the Kingdom the first globally in government digital services, and that the telecommunications and information technology sector is an important economic tributary and a pathway for the future," praising the ministry's efforts to make the telecommunications and information technology sector in the Kingdom the fastest-growing and most attractive for investment, highlighting the importance of the meeting in fostering integration between the public and private sectors in creating opportunities and projects.
It is worth noting that the meeting is part of a series of periodic meetings held by the Saudi Chambers Federation with government officials to consult on decisions and regulations, discuss economic developments, review investment opportunities, and listen to investors' proposals, thereby enhancing the business environment and stimulating local and international investments.
