أعلن الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة إكسبو 2030 الرياض طلال المري أن السعودية تعتزم دعوة 197 دولة للمشاركة في إكسبو 2030.
وأضاف المري خلال مؤتمر مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار في الرياض، أن مساحة إكسبو الرياض 2030 ستصل إلى نحو 6 ملايين متر مربع، وأن مختلف مرافق إكسبو ستكون جاهزة قبل الوقت المحدد، متوقعا استقبال نحو 42 مليون زائر.
وتابع رئيس إكسبو الرياض: العديد من المشاريع الضخمة مثل الدرعية والقدية ستكون جاهزة. وأشار إلى أنه قبل نهاية العام الحالي 2025 سيبدأ العمل على البنية التحتية لمشروع إكسبو الرياض 2030، ومشاريع الرياض العملاقة ستكون جاهزة قبل 2030.
وقال المري: إن نظام المترو سيقوم بربط مختلف أنحاء الرياض بموقع الإكسبو من أجل تسهيل حركة الزائرين، وأن المعرض يمثل أهمية كبرى لجمع الأشخاص في مكان واحد وتزويدهم بفرص التواصل البشري الحقيقي.
وأوضح أن الرياض تعتبر مكانا مثاليا لقيادة هذا التحدي والتحول إلى نقطة التقاء لدعم التواصل البشري. وتابع: في 2030 سنمنح معنى آخر للبشرية، وستشهد الرياض تطورا مستمرا وتعتبر أكبر العواصم تحولا.
وأشار إلى أن الرياض تمتلك موقعا جغرافيا مميزا، إذ يمكن لـ50% من سكان العالم الوصول إليها خلال 5 ساعات فقط.
The CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, Talal Al-Mari, announced that Saudi Arabia intends to invite 197 countries to participate in Expo 2030.
Al-Mari added during the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh that the area of Expo Riyadh 2030 will reach approximately 6 million square meters, and that various Expo facilities will be ready ahead of schedule, expecting to welcome around 42 million visitors.
The head of Expo Riyadh continued: many large projects such as Diriyah and Qiddiya will be ready. He noted that before the end of the current year 2025, work will begin on the infrastructure for the Expo Riyadh 2030 project, and the giant Riyadh projects will be ready before 2030.
Al-Mari stated that the metro system will connect different parts of Riyadh to the Expo site to facilitate the movement of visitors, and that the exhibition represents great importance in bringing people together in one place and providing them with opportunities for genuine human interaction.
He explained that Riyadh is considered an ideal place to lead this challenge and transform into a meeting point to support human communication. He added: in 2030 we will give a new meaning to humanity, and Riyadh will witness continuous development and will be considered the largest capital in transformation.
He pointed out that Riyadh has a unique geographical location, as 50% of the world's population can reach it within just 5 hours.
