حذر البنك المركزي العراقي المواطنين من التعامل مع جهات وأشخاص يدعون تمثيله.
وقال البنك، في بيان إن «البنك المركزي العراقي يحذر المواطنين ولا سيّما فئة المتقاعدين من التعامل مع أيّ جهات أو أشخاص ينتحلون صفة موظفين في البنك المركزي أو يدّعون تمثيلهم له ويطلبون بيانات شخصية أو مستندات رسمية مثل هوية التقاعد أو المعلومات المالية».
وأكد البنك المركزي أن «أي مؤسسة مالية مرخّصة لا تطلب من المواطنين أي معلومات تتعلق ببطاقاتهم أو حساباتهم أو بياناتهم المالية، ولا تقوم بتقديم القروض أو طلب مستندات عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي أو من خلال الاتصال الهاتفي».
استغلال المواطنين
وأوضح البنك أن «أي طلب من هذا النوع يعد محاولة احتيال ونصب تهدف إلى استغلال المواطنين وسرقة بياناتهم المصرفية».
وتابع البنك: «يرجى عدم تزويد أي جهة غير رسمية بأي معلومات شخصية أو مالية، والإبلاغ فوراً عن أي اتصال أو رسالة مشبوهة عبر القنوات الرسمية للبنك المركزي أو الجهات الأمنية المختصة».
The Central Bank of Iraq warned citizens against dealing with entities and individuals claiming to represent it.
The bank stated in a statement that "the Central Bank of Iraq warns citizens, especially retirees, against dealing with any entities or individuals impersonating employees of the Central Bank or claiming to represent it and requesting personal data or official documents such as retirement ID or financial information."
The Central Bank confirmed that "any licensed financial institution does not request any information from citizens regarding their cards, accounts, or financial data, nor does it provide loans or request documents via social media or through phone calls."
Exploitation of Citizens
The bank clarified that "any request of this kind is considered an attempt at fraud and deception aimed at exploiting citizens and stealing their banking data."
The bank continued: "Please do not provide any unofficial entity with any personal or financial information, and report any suspicious contact or message immediately through the official channels of the Central Bank or the relevant security authorities."
