شارك وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط فيصل الإبراهيم في الاجتماعات السنوية لمجموعة البنك وصندوق النقد الدوليين، التي أُقيمت في العاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن.
وشملت مشاركة الوزير الإبراهيم عقد عددٍ من الاجتماعات الجانبية، من بينها لقاء مع وزير المالية والاقتصاد في جمهورية بولندا أندريه دومانسكي، ووزير الاقتصاد والمالية في جمهورية الهلينية كيرياكوس بيراكاكيس، ووزير المالية في جمهورية سلوفينيا كلامين بوستيانتشتش، ووزير المالية والشؤون الاقتصادية الآيسلندي داذي مار كريستوفرسون، إضافةً إلى نائب رئيس البنك الدولي لشؤون البنية التحتية غوانغز تشين، وعددٍ من كبار المسؤولين في مجموعة البنك الدولي وصندوق النقد الدولي.
وتركّزت المناقشات على تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي القائم، واستعراض آخر التطورات العالمية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
شراكات دولية
وشملت مشاركة الوزير حضور جلسةٍ حوارية في كلية الدراسات الدولية المتقدمة بجامعة جونز هوبكنز، استضافها مركز رايشاور لدراسات شرق آسيا، واستعرض رحلة التحول الاقتصادي التي تشهدها المملكة في إطار رؤية المملكة 2030، إلى جانب مناقشة أهمية الشراكات الدولية في مواجهة التحديات العالمية. واستضافت وزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط فعالية جانبية بالتعاون مع جامعة جورجتاون.
Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim participated in the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, held in the U.S. capital, Washington, D.C.
The minister's participation included several side meetings, including a meeting with the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Domański, the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia, Klemen Boštjančič, and the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of Iceland, Bjarni Benediktsson, in addition to the Vice President of the World Bank for Infrastructure, Guangzhe Chen, and several senior officials from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
The discussions focused on enhancing existing economic cooperation and reviewing the latest global developments of mutual interest.
International Partnerships
The minister's participation included attending a panel session at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, hosted by the Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies, where he reviewed the economic transformation journey taking place in the Kingdom within the framework of Vision 2030, along with discussing the importance of international partnerships in addressing global challenges. The Ministry of Economy and Planning hosted a side event in collaboration with Georgetown University.
