تراجعت أسعار الذهب عند تسوية تعاملات اليوم (الخميس)، لتغلق دون المستوى النفسي المهم عند 4 آلاف دولار للأوقية، وسط ضغوط من ارتفاع الدولار.
وانخفضت العقود الآجلة للمعدن الأصفر تسليم شهر ديسمبر بنسبة 2.40% أو ما يعادل 97.9 دولار إلى 3972.60 دولار للأوقية، بعد أن أنهت تعاملات الأربعاء عند مستوى قياسي.
تزامن ذلك مع ارتفاع مؤشر الدولار الذي يعبر عن قيمة العملة الأمريكية مقابل 6 عملات رئيسية بنسبة 0.63% إلى 99 نقطة.
وتعرض المعدن النفيس لضغوط من عمليات جني أرباح أعقبت اتفاق حركة حماس وإسرائيل على وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، بعد جولة مفاوضات عُقدت في مصر لإنهاء حرب استمرت عامين.
الذهب ينخفض 2.5% ويغلق دون 4 آلاف دولار

Gold prices fell at the close of trading today (Thursday), ending below the important psychological level of 4,000 dollars per ounce, amid pressures from the rising dollar.
Futures contracts for the yellow metal for December delivery decreased by 2.40%, or 97.9 dollars, to 3,972.60 dollars per ounce, after finishing Wednesday's trading at a record level.
This coincided with a rise in the dollar index, which reflects the value of the U.S. currency against 6 major currencies, increasing by 0.63% to 99 points.
The precious metal faced pressure from profit-taking following the agreement between Hamas and Israel on a ceasefire in Gaza, after a round of negotiations held in Egypt to end a two-year war.
