أمريكا تتوقع انفراجة كبيرة في المحادثات التجارية مع الصين

Scott Pisent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, expects a "significant breakthrough" in the upcoming round of trade talks with China, as the administration of President Donald Trump has taken steps to support farmers affected by the decline in Chinese purchases of U.S. agricultural products.

Pisent said today (Thursday): "The most important event we will witness is a one-on-one meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, on the sidelines of the regional summit in South Korea scheduled for late October."

He added that the trade negotiations he is conducting with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, "which will be our fifth round of negotiations, are expected to achieve a significant breakthrough," according to the German news agency DPA.
