أعلن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب أنه سيلتقي بالرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ على هامش قمة منتدى التعاون الاقتصادي لدول آسيا والمحيط الهادئ (APEC) المُقبلة، وأشاد بالتقدم المُحرز نحو إبرام صفقة بشأن تطبيق تيك توك، وذلك بعد اتصال هاتفي مُرتقب للغاية اليوم (الجمعة).
يُعدّ هذا اللقاء الشخصي الأول بين زعيمي أكبر اقتصادين في العالم منذ عودة الرئيس الأميركي إلى منصبه، ويُنهي جدلًا مُطولًا بين واشنطن وبكين حول مكان وتوقيت انعقاد القمة، ومن المُقرر عقد قمة منتدى التعاون الاقتصادي لدول آسيا والمحيط الهادئ (APEC) في كوريا الجنوبية الشهر المُقبل، وفقا لتقرير نشرته وكالة «بلومبرغ».
وكتب ترامب على موقع «Truth Social»: «أجريتُ للتو اتصالًا مُثمرًا للغاية مع الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ. لقد أحرزنا تقدمًا في العديد من القضايا المهمة للغاية، بما في ذلك التجارة، والفنتانيل، وضرورة إنهاء الحرب بين روسيا وأوكرانيا، والموافقة على صفقة تيك توك».

President Donald Trump announced that he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, and praised the progress made toward finalizing a deal regarding TikTok, following a highly anticipated phone call today (Friday).
This will be the first in-person meeting between the leaders of the world's two largest economies since the U.S. president returned to office, ending a prolonged debate between Washington and Beijing over the location and timing of the summit. The APEC summit is scheduled to take place in South Korea next month, according to a report published by Bloomberg.
Trump wrote on Truth Social: "I just had a very productive call with President Xi Jinping. We made progress on many very important issues, including trade, fentanyl, the need to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, and the approval of the TikTok deal."
