شاركت جمعية الوداد لرعاية الأيتام ضمن وفد المملكة العربية السعودية الممثل للقطاع غير الربحي في معرض إكسبو 2025 بمدينة أوساكا باليابان، وذلك بدعوة من المركز الوطني لتنمية القطاع غير الربحي، ضمن وفد يضم (6) جهات أهلية متميزة على مستوى المملكة.
حيث ضم الوفد المشارك كلاً من: مؤسسة الوليد الإنسانية، ومؤسسة مودة MAFS، ومؤسسة سكن، وجمعية بنيان، وبنك الطعام السعودي، بالإضافة إلى جمعية الوداد لرعاية الأيتام.
وقدمت الوداد خلال مشاركتها عرضًا عن تجربتها الرائدة في معالجة قضية الأطفال فاقدي الرعاية الوالدية، ونموذجها الفريد في إسناد احتضانهم إلى أسر سعودية مؤهلة، كأول جهة متخصصة في هذا المجال بالمملكة.
من جانبه عبر رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية الوداد لرعاية الأيتام محمد بن عبدالرحمن مؤمنة عن اعتزازه بهذه المشاركة قائلاً: «إن اختيار الوداد من بين مئات المنظمات غير الربحية يمثل تتويجًا لمسيرة حافلة بالعطاء لأكثر من 17 عامًا، ويعكس التقدير الوطني للدور الذي نؤديه في رعاية الأيتام وتمكينهم عبر نماذج احتضان إنسانية وملهمة».
وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي لجمعية الوداد لرعاية الأيتام الدكتور ضيف الله بن أحمد النعمي أن هذه المشاركة تمثل فرصة لتسليط الضوء على النموذج السعودي في تمكين الأطفال الأيتام من العيش في بيئة أسرية مستقرة، مشيرًا إلى أن ترشيح الجمعية ضمن الوفد الوطني يعد دليلًا على الثقة التي تحظى بها الجمعية من الجهات المعنية واعترافًا بجهودها المتميزة.
The Al-Wedad Association for Orphan Care participated as part of the delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia representing the non-profit sector at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, at the invitation of the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector, as part of a delegation that includes (6) distinguished civil society organizations from across the Kingdom.
The participating delegation included: the Alwaleed Philanthropies, the Muwada Foundation (MAFS), the Sakn Foundation, the Bonyan Association, the Saudi Food Bank, in addition to the Al-Wedad Association for Orphan Care.
During its participation, Al-Wedad presented a showcase of its pioneering experience in addressing the issue of children lacking parental care, and its unique model of placing them with qualified Saudi families, being the first specialized entity in this field in the Kingdom.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Wedad Association for Orphan Care, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Mo'minah, expressed his pride in this participation, stating: "The selection of Al-Wedad among hundreds of non-profit organizations represents a culmination of a journey filled with giving for more than 17 years, and reflects the national appreciation for the role we play in caring for orphans and empowering them through humane and inspiring foster care models."
The CEO of the Al-Wedad Association for Orphan Care, Dr. Dhiab Allah bin Ahmed Al-Nami, confirmed that this participation represents an opportunity to highlight the Saudi model in enabling orphaned children to live in a stable family environment, noting that the association's nomination within the national delegation is evidence of the trust the association enjoys from the relevant authorities and recognition of its distinguished efforts.
