توعد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أمس الأول (الجمعة) باتخاذ قرار قريباً بشأن رئيس مجلس الاحتياطي الفيدرالي (البنك المركزي) القادم.
وأضاف أن أي رئيس جيد لمجلس الاحتياطي الفيدرالي سيقوم بخفض أسعار الفائدة.
ودعا الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأمريكي) إلى خفض أسعار الفائدة نقطة مئوية كاملة.
وقال ترمب في منشور على منصة تروث سوشيال: «التأخر الشديد من مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي كارثة، أوروبا تبنت 10 تخفيضات في أسعار الفائدة، بينما لم نجر أي خفض، رغم ذلك تمضي بلادنا بصورة ممتازة».
وأضاف: «لو أن الاحتياطي الفيدرالي يخفض الفائدة في الوقت المناسب، فسنتمكن من تقليص أسعار الفائدة بشكل كبير، سواء على الديون طويلة الأجل أو قصيرة الأجل التي تستحق قريباً. بايدن ركز بشكل أساسي على الاقتراض قصير الأجل».
وأشار ترمب إلى أنه «لم يعد هناك تضخم فعلياً، لكن إذا عاد، يمكن ببساطة رفع الفائدة لمواجهته، فالأمر بسيط جداً، وما يتم فعله يكلف بلدنا ثروة، ويجب أن تكون تكاليف الاقتراض أقل بكثير».

Trump said in a post on Truth Social: "The Federal Reserve's extreme delay is a disaster; Europe has implemented 10 interest rate cuts, while we haven't made any reductions, yet our country is doing excellently."
He added: "If the Federal Reserve lowers interest rates in a timely manner, we will be able to significantly reduce interest rates, whether on long-term or short-term debts that are due soon. Biden has primarily focused on short-term borrowing."
Trump pointed out that "there is no longer any inflation, but if it returns, interest rates can simply be raised to combat it; it's very simple, and what is being done is costing our country a fortune, and borrowing costs should be much lower."
