اتهمت الصين الولايات المتحدة بانتهاك اتفاقهما التجاري المؤقت الأخير، وتعهدت باتخاذ إجراءات للدفاع عن مصالحها، رغم آمال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في التحدث مع نظيره الصيني شي جين بينغ.
وأصدرت وزارة التجارة الصينية بياناً الاثنين استنكرت فيه ادعاء الرئيس الأمريكي بأن بكين انتهكت الاتفاق الذي تم التوصل إليه في جنيف خلال شهر مايو، ما يهدد بزعزعة العلاقات التجارية بين البلدين.
وتعود بذلك الخلافات التجارية بين أكبر اقتصادين في العالم بعد فترة توقف نتجت عن توصل الطرفين في اجتماع عقد في سويسرا الشهر الماضي إلى هدنة مدتها 90 يوماً.
وعززت الإدارة الأمريكية قيود التصدير المتعلقة بأشباه الموصلات والمواد الكيميائية إلى الصين، وأعلنت أنها ستلغي تأشيرات الطلاب الصينيين، بينما حافظت الصين على قبضتها القوية على صادراتها من المعادن النادرة، خلافاً لرغبة واشنطن.
وذكر متحدث باسم وزارة التجارة الصينية أن هذه الخطوات تقوض بشكل خطير الاتفاق الذي تم التوصل إليه في جنيف، متعهداً باتخاذ بكين إجراءات لحماية حقوقها ومصالحها في حال مضت الولايات المتحدة قدماً في إجراءات تضر بمصالح الصين، وذلك حسبما نقلت «CNBC».
يأتي ذلك بعدما أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي الجمعة الماضية أن الصين انتهكت اتفاقية الرسوم التجارية مع الولايات المتحدة، ما أثار مخاوف من احتمالية استئناف الحرب التجارية.
