G7 تبحث فرض رسوم جمركية على بعض المنتجات الصينية

Canadian Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne announced that the G7 countries have begun discussions on imposing tariffs on low-priced Chinese products that flood the markets in large quantities.

In a press conference to open the G7 finance ministers' meeting yesterday (Tuesday), he stated, "The agenda will include discussions on how countries are addressing issues related to increased production capacity and practices that are not based on free market rules."

The Financial Times reported that the European Union is considering imposing a fixed tariff on small imported parcels, and France is seeking to add tariffs on these parcels, while the United Kingdom and Japan are also considering similar measures.

The countries have accused Chinese online retail platforms of flooding their markets with low-value goods, and U.S. President Donald Trump targeted these goods by eliminating the previous tariff exemption, with the United States being the largest market for these small parcels.
