ارتفع الدين العام في أوغندا بنسبة 26.2% ليصل إلى 32.3 مليار دولار في السنة المالية 2025/2024. وقفز الدين بحسب التقرير السنوي الصادر عن وزارة المالية في أوغندا من 25.6 مليار دولار في السنة المالية السابقة، مشيرا إلى أن الحكومة زادت من الاقتراض المحلي لتلبية حاجاتها التمويلية خلال هذه الفترة.
وزادت ديون أوغندا بنسبة 5% في السنة المالية الأخيرة المنتهية في يونيو 2024، وفق نشرة وزارة المالية الأوغندية الإحصائية السنوية للديون وتحليل محفظة الدين العام، الصادرة أخيرا.
خطط اقتراض
وأشارت النشرة إلى أن رصيد الدين الحالي للدولة الواقعة في شرق أفريقيا يبلغ الآن 40.6 تريليون شلن، فيما تخطط الحكومة لاقتراض 13 تريليون شلن. (الدولار يساوي3.697 شلن أوغندي).
وكشفت وزارة المالية من خلال نشرتها الإحصائية السنوية للديون، أن رصيد ديون أوغندا نما من 34.5 تريليون شلن في يونيو 2023، إلى 40.6 تريليون شلن.
ونتيجة لخطة تعبئة الموارد الحكومية، ارتفع الدين العام المحلي للبلاد من 13% إلى 18% خلال السنة المالية السابقة.
The public debt in Uganda rose by 26.2% to reach $32.3 billion in the fiscal year 2025/2024. According to the annual report issued by the Ministry of Finance in Uganda, the debt jumped from $25.6 billion in the previous fiscal year, indicating that the government increased local borrowing to meet its financing needs during this period.
Uganda's debt increased by 5% in the last fiscal year ending in June 2024, according to the annual statistical bulletin on debt and analysis of the public debt portfolio issued recently by the Ugandan Ministry of Finance.
Borrowing Plans
The bulletin indicated that the current debt balance of the East African nation now stands at 40.6 trillion shillings, while the government plans to borrow 13 trillion shillings. (The dollar equals 3,697 Ugandan shillings).
The Ministry of Finance revealed through its annual statistical bulletin on debt that Uganda's debt balance grew from 34.5 trillion shillings in June 2023 to 40.6 trillion shillings.
As a result of the government resource mobilization plan, the country's domestic public debt rose from 13% to 18% during the previous fiscal year.
