أعلن الاتحاد البريدي العالمي في بيان اليوم، أن 25 دولة قرّرت تعليق إرسال الطرود إلى الولايات المتحدة، في ظلّ تزايد المخاوف من تداعيات التعريفات الجمركية الأمريكية التي ستدخل حيّز التنفيذ عما قريب.
وجاء في بيان المنظمة الأممية أن «المستثمرين البريديين للدول الأعضاء الخمس والعشرين سبق لهم أن أخطروا الاتحاد بأنهم علّقوا خدماتهم البريدية الصادرة إلى الولايات المتحدة، خصوصًا بسبب انعدام اليقين المرتبط بخدمات العبور».
وعلى صعيد الأسهم العالمية، تراجعت الأسهم الآسيوية والأوروبية بشكل جماعي، بعدما أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إقالة ليزا كوك عضوة مجلس محافظي الاحتياطي الفيدرالي (البنك المركزي الأمريكي)، من منصبها.
وجاء الإعلان بعد إغلاق التداولات في بورصة «وول ستريت»، حيث محت المؤشرات الرئيسية جزءًا من مكاسبها الكبيرة التي حققتها الأسبوع الماضي، عقب تزايد الآمال في قيام مجلس الاحتياطي الفيدرالي بخفض أسعار الفائدة الشهر القادم.
وقال ترمب، في رسالة نشرها أمس، عبر منصته «تروث سوشيال»، إنه أقال كوك بسبب مزاعم بارتكابها احتيالاً في الحصول على قروض عقارية.
وأغلقت الأسهم الأمريكية في بورصة وول ستريت للأوراق المالية،، على تراجع، حيث انخفض مؤشر ستاندرد أند بورز 500 الأوسع نطاقًا للأسهم الأمريكية بواقع 27.59 نقطة، أي بنسبة 0.4%، ليصل إلى 6,439.32 نقطة، لكنه لا يزال قريبًا من أعلى مستوى له على الإطلاق.

The Universal Postal Union announced in a statement today that 25 countries have decided to suspend sending parcels to the United States, amid growing concerns over the implications of upcoming U.S. tariffs that will soon come into effect.
In the statement from the UN organization, it was mentioned that "postal investors from the twenty-five member countries have previously informed the union that they have suspended their postal services to the United States, particularly due to the uncertainty related to transit services."
On the global stock front, Asian and European stocks collectively declined after U.S. President Donald Trump announced the dismissal of Lisa Cook, a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve (the U.S. central bank), from her position.
The announcement came after trading closed on Wall Street, where the major indices erased part of their significant gains from last week, following increased hopes that the Federal Reserve would lower interest rates next month.
Trump stated in a message he published yesterday on his platform "Truth Social" that he dismissed Cook due to allegations of fraud in obtaining mortgage loans.
U.S. stocks closed lower on the New York Stock Exchange, with the broader S&P 500 index of U.S. stocks falling by 27.59 points, or 0.4%, to reach 6,439.32 points, but it remains close to its all-time high.
