أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم، توصل الولايات المتحدة والاتحاد الأوربي إلى اتفاق تجاري ضخم، إضافة إلى التعريفات الجمركية بنسبة 15%.
وقال ترمب في كلمة بعد لقائه رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية، أورسولا فون دير لاين، في أسكتلندا: «أعتقد أن هذا أكبر اتفاق تم التوصل إليه على الإطلاق».
وأوضح أنه بموجب الاتفاق الجديد، يوافق الاتحاد الأوروبي على شراء منتجات طاقة من الولايات المتحدة بقيمة 750 مليار دولار، إضافة إلى المعدات العسكرية، كما سيستثمر الاتحاد الأوروبي 600 مليار دولار إضافية في الاقتصاد الأمريكي، مع فتح أسواقه أمام المنتجات الأمريكية دون رسوم جمركية، مبيناً أن الولايات المتحدة ستفرض رسوماً جمركية أساسية بنسبة 15% على جميع البضائع المستوردة من الاتحاد الأوروبي بما في ذلك السيارات.
من جانبها، أشادت رئيسة مفوضية الاتحاد الأوروبي بالاتفاق ووصفته بأنه «جيد».
وأعلن وزير التجارة الأمريكي هاورد لوتنيك، أن المهلة التي حددتها الولايات المتحدة في الأول من أغسطس لفرض رسوم جمركية مشددة على شركائها التجاريين هي نهائية ولن يتم تمديدها.
وقال لوتنيك لشبكة «فوكس نيوز»: «لا توجد تمديدات ولا فترات سماح. الرسوم الجمركية محددة في الأول من أغسطس. ستُطبّق. ستبدأ الجمارك بجمع المال».
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد حدد في أوائل أبريل الماضي مهلة 90 يوماً للمحادثات التجارية بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والولايات المتحدة، كان من المقرر أن تنتهي في التاسع من يوليو الجاري.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced today that the United States and the European Union have reached a massive trade agreement, in addition to a 15% tariff.
Trump said in a speech after meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Scotland: “I believe this is the largest agreement ever reached.”
He explained that under the new agreement, the European Union agrees to purchase energy products from the United States worth $750 billion, in addition to military equipment, and the EU will invest an additional $600 billion in the U.S. economy, while opening its markets to American products without tariffs, noting that the United States will impose a basic tariff of 15% on all goods imported from the EU, including cars.
For her part, the President of the European Commission praised the agreement, describing it as “good.”
U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick announced that the deadline set by the United States on August 1 to impose strict tariffs on its trading partners is final and will not be extended.
Lutnick told Fox News: “There are no extensions or grace periods. The tariffs are set for August 1. They will be applied. Customs will start collecting money.”
