أعلنت رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية أورسولا فون دير لاين، اليوم (الخميس)، أن 87% من التجارة الخارجية للاتحاد الأوروبي تتم مع الأسواق العالمية خارج أمريكا.
ويسعى الاتحاد الأوروبي بشكل متزايد إلى تنويع شركائه التجاريين، في ظل تزايد تقلبات السياسات التجارية مع أمريكا.
وقضت محكمة التجارة الدولية الأمريكية، أمس (الأربعاء)، أن الرئيس تجاوز سلطته بتفعيل قانون الصلاحيات الاقتصادية الطارئة الدولية (IEEPA) لفرض رسوم جمركية شاملة على العديد من الدول.
ولم تأمر المحكمة، ومقرها مانهاتن، بوقف دائم لمعظم رسوم ترمب الجمركية فحسب، بل منعت أيضاً أي تعديلات مستقبلية عليها.
كما منحت هيئة من 3 قضاة البيت الأبيض مهلة 10 أيام لاستكمال الإجراءات الرسمية لوقف الرسوم الجمركية، وقد استأنفت إدارة ترمب الحكم بسرعة.
وقال اقتصاديون في غولدمان ساكس: «إن البيت الأبيض يمتلك بعض الأدوات المتاحة التي قد تضمن أن تكون هذه المشكلة مؤقتة، بحسب ما ذكرته شبكة CNBC. واطلعت عليه «العربية Business».
وفي مذكرة للعملاء، قال محللون في غولدمان ساكس: «يمثل هذا الحكم انتكاسة لخطط الإدارة بشأن الرسوم الجمركية، ويزيد من حالة عدم اليقين، ولكنه قد لا يُغير النتيجة النهائية لمعظم شركاء الولايات المتحدة التجاريين الرئيسيين». وأضافوا: «في الوقت الحالي، نتوقع أن تجد إدارة ترمب طرقاً أخرى لفرض الرسوم الجمركية».

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced today (Thursday) that 87% of the European Union's external trade is conducted with global markets outside of America.
The European Union is increasingly seeking to diversify its trading partners amid rising fluctuations in trade policies with America.
The U.S. International Trade Court ruled yesterday (Wednesday) that the president exceeded his authority by activating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose blanket tariffs on many countries.
The court, based in Manhattan, not only did not order a permanent halt to most of Trump's tariffs but also prevented any future modifications to them.
The three-judge panel also granted the White House a 10-day extension to complete the formal procedures to halt the tariffs, and the Trump administration quickly appealed the ruling.
Economists at Goldman Sachs stated, "The White House has some available tools that may ensure this issue is temporary," as reported by CNBC and reviewed by Al Arabiya Business.
In a client memo, analysts at Goldman Sachs said, "This ruling represents a setback for the administration's plans regarding tariffs, increasing uncertainty, but it may not change the ultimate outcome for most of the United States' major trading partners." They added, "For now, we expect the Trump administration to find other ways to impose tariffs."
