رعى رئيس الوزراء العراقي محمد شياع السوداني ملتقى العراق للاستثمار الذي يُعقد على مدى يومين في العاصمة بغداد، ويتضمن عرض أكثر من 160 فرصة استثمارية واعدة في مختلف القطاعات.
وأوضح بيان للحكومة العراقية أن السوداني أعلن خلال الملتقى فرصا استثمارية بقيمة 450 مليار دولار في مختلف القطاعات، داعيا الهيئة الوطنية للاستثمار، والمجلس الاقتصادي العراقي، وجميع الجهات الساندة لدعم الاستثمار وعمل الشركات العالمية في العراق.

وأكد السوداني، بحسب البيان، توجّه الحكومة نحو تعديل قانون الشركات المساهمة وقانون الشركات القابضة، وإضافة مواد تدعم الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة، والصناديق الخاصة، مع زيادة وتيرة رقمنة الإجراءات الحكومية لتقليص البيروقراطية، واستكمال الإصلاحات المصرفية، ورفع التصنيف الائتماني للعراق، لتقليل نسبة الفوائد والتأمين على المشاريع التي تقام في العراق، لجذب الاستثمارين العربي والأجنبي.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani sponsored the Iraq Investment Forum, which is held over two days in the capital Baghdad, featuring the presentation of more than 160 promising investment opportunities across various sectors.
The Iraqi government statement clarified that al-Sudani announced during the forum investment opportunities worth 450 billion dollars in different sectors, calling on the National Investment Commission, the Iraqi Economic Council, and all supporting entities to support investment and the operations of global companies in Iraq.
Raising the Rating
Al-Sudani confirmed, according to the statement, the government's direction towards amending the Joint Stock Companies Law and the Holding Companies Law, and adding provisions that support small and medium-sized enterprises and private funds, along with increasing the pace of digitizing government procedures to reduce bureaucracy, completing banking reforms, and raising Iraq's credit rating to lower interest rates and insurance on projects established in Iraq, in order to attract both Arab and foreign investments.
