Angola and the United Arab Emirates - during the visit of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the Angolan capital, Luanda - signed a comprehensive economic partnership agreement aimed at enhancing economic and developmental cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement also aims to strengthen economic ties between Luanda and Abu Dhabi and create new investment opportunities in various sectors.

During the event, a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding in various fields were also announced, including political consultations, diplomatic cooperation, and other areas.

The UAE President held a session of talks yesterday with the President of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, in the capital Luanda, addressing several regional and international issues of mutual interest and exchanging views.

It is worth noting that Angola has vast reserves of minerals and oil, and its economy is one of the fastest-growing in the world, particularly since the end of the civil war.

Angola is a member of the United Nations, OPEC, the African Union, the Community of Portuguese Language Countries, and the Southern African Development Community. Angola is a multicultural and multi-ethnic country. The culture of Angola reflects centuries of Portuguese rule, as evidenced by the dominance of the Portuguese language, in addition to a diverse array of indigenous customs and traditions.
