في لحظة صدق نادرة، كسر الممثل المصري محمد يوسف، الشهير بـ«أوزو»، صمته ليضع حدًا للتكهنات التي أثيرت مؤخرًا حول سبب انحناءة ظهره، بعدما لفت ظهوره في مسلسل «صحاب الأرض» أنظار الجمهور خلال موسم دراما رمضان 2026.
مرض نادر خلف الكواليس
أوزو أوضح، عبر حسابه على فيسبوك، أنه يعاني من مرض مناعي نادر يُعرف بالتهاب الفقرات التصلبي؛ وهو مرض يهاجم العمود الفقري ويسبب آلامًا مزمنة وتيبسًا قد يؤثر على طريقة الوقوف والحركة. وأشار إلى أنه يخضع حاليًا لعلاج بيولوجي يهدف إلى تثبيت حالته ومنع تدهورها، في محاولة للسيطرة على الأعراض والحفاظ على قدرته على العمل والحياة بشكل طبيعي قدر الإمكان.
بين قرار الجراحة وتعقيدات الحالة
لم يُخفِ أوزو سعيه لإيجاد حل جراحي يساعده على تحسين مظهر انحناءة الظهر، كاشفًا أنه استشار اختصاصي تجميل برفقة نقيب المهن التمثيلية الفنان الدكتور أشرف زكي، غير أن الطبيب طلب تأجيل أي تدخل جراحي لمدة عام، رغم أن فترة التعافي المعتادة لمثل هذه العمليات لا تتجاوز ستة أشهر.
ورغم ذلك، أكد أوزو تمسكه بفكرة الجراحة، ولكن لدى طبيب آخر يضع حالته الصحية المعقدة في الاعتبار، ويوازن بين البعد التجميلي والاعتبارات الطبية الدقيقة.
ألم لا يراه الجميع
بعيدًا عن الأضواء، شدد أوزو على أنه لم يكن يرغب في الإعلان عن مرضه طلبًا للتعاطف، بل فضّل الصمت وتحمل الألم بصبر، حتى أن عددًا من المقربين منه لا يعلمون بطبيعة حالته، رغم ما يعيشه يوميًا من أوجاع شديدة يحاول التخفيف منها عبر وسائل علاجية متعددة، من بينها العلاج اليدوي والعلاج المائي.

وفي ختام حديثه، وجّه أوزو اعتذارًا لكل من انتقد طريقة سيره أو مظهره في المسلسل، مؤكدًا أن ما يبدو للبعض اختلافًا شكليًا، هو في الحقيقة معركة يومية يخوضها بصمت.

A Rare Illness Behind the Scenes
Ozu explained, via his Facebook account, that he suffers from a rare autoimmune disease known as ankylosing spondylitis; a condition that attacks the spine and causes chronic pain and stiffness that may affect his posture and movement. He indicated that he is currently undergoing biological treatment aimed at stabilizing his condition and preventing its deterioration, in an effort to manage the symptoms and maintain his ability to work and live as normally as possible.
Between the Decision for Surgery and the Complications of the Condition
Ozu did not hide his pursuit of a surgical solution that would help improve the appearance of his hunched back, revealing that he consulted a cosmetic specialist along with the head of the acting professions, artist Dr. Ashraf Zaki. However, the doctor requested to postpone any surgical intervention for a year, even though the usual recovery period for such operations does not exceed six months.
Despite this, Ozu confirmed his commitment to the idea of surgery, but with another doctor who takes his complex health condition into account and balances the cosmetic aspect with the precise medical considerations.
Pain That Not Everyone Sees
Away from the spotlight, Ozu emphasized that he did not wish to announce his illness seeking sympathy, but preferred silence and to endure the pain patiently, to the extent that some of his close ones are unaware of the nature of his condition, despite the severe pains he experiences daily, which he tries to alleviate through various therapeutic means, including manual therapy and hydrotherapy.
A Message of Apology and a Message of Awareness
In conclusion, Ozu directed an apology to everyone who criticized the way he walked or his appearance in the series, affirming that what may seem to some as a mere cosmetic difference is, in fact, a daily battle he fights in silence.
