أدت جدية المبادرات الحكومية المرتبطة بمشاريع رؤية المملكة 2030 إلى حدوث تحول مذهل في نمو قطاع السينما السعودية، منذ أعادت المملكة إحياء هذا القطاع عام 2018 بعد توقف استمر نحو أربعة عقود.
وتشير الأرقام إلى أنه خلال خمس سنوات فقط، ارتفعت القيمة السنوية لمبيعات التذاكر في دور السينما من نحو 6 ملايين تذكرة في عام 2020 إلى نحو 17 مليون تذكرة خلال 2024.
فاقت مبيعات تذاكرها 120 مليون ريال
وارتفعت، بموازاة ذلك، مبيعات تذاكر دور السينما بنحو 90%، من 445 مليون ريال إلى 845 مليوناً. وكان الإقبال الأكبر على الأفلام سعودية الصنع، التي فاقت مبيعات تذاكرها 120 مليون ريال، مقارنة بـ 13 مليوناً في عام 2020. وقال مسؤولون ومراقبون، إن ذلك النجاح الذي حققته الأفلام السعودية والأجنبية المعروضة على الشاشات الفضية السعودية تم بدعم كبير من المبادرات الحكومية، خصوصاً رؤية المملكة 2030، التي يرعى تنفيذها ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وتهدف لإعادة هيكلة الاقتصاد الوطني، والدفع بأداء القطاع غير النفطي، لئلا تصبح المملكة أسيرة لتقلبات أسعار النفط العالمية.
The seriousness of government initiatives related to the Kingdom's Vision 2030 projects has led to a remarkable transformation in the growth of the Saudi cinema sector, since the Kingdom revived this sector in 2018 after a hiatus of nearly four decades.
Figures indicate that within just five years, the annual value of ticket sales in cinemas rose from about 6 million tickets in 2020 to around 17 million tickets by 2024.
Ticket sales exceeded 120 million riyals
Alongside this, cinema ticket sales increased by about 90%, from 445 million riyals to 845 million. The highest demand was for Saudi-made films, whose ticket sales exceeded 120 million riyals, compared to 13 million in 2020. Officials and observers stated that the success achieved by both Saudi and foreign films shown on Saudi silver screens was greatly supported by government initiatives, particularly Vision 2030, which is overseen by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. This vision aims to restructure the national economy and boost the performance of the non-oil sector, so that the Kingdom does not become a prisoner of global oil price fluctuations.
