أعلنت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي (كتارا) عن قائمة الـ18 لأفضل الأعمال المشاركة في الدورة الـ11 لجائزة كتارا للرواية العربية في فئتي الروايات المنشورة والروايات غير المنشورة، وروايات الفتيان، والرواية التاريخية، والدراسات النقدية، وتصدرت مصر القوائم بـ24 مشاركة، فيما حضرت المملكة بدراسة نقدية واحدة، للدكتور رياض الفريجي، عن ( الرواية العربية الحديثة وتوظيف الإعلام التنموي).
وضمت كل قائمة من القوائم 18 عملاً مرشحاً، لفئة الروايات غير المنشورة، وضمت روائيين من 10 دول، وتصدرت مصر القائمة بخمس روايات، تلتها العراق بثلاث روايات، والمغرب وسورية، بروايتين لكل دولة، والسودان، تونس، الأردن، الجزائر، تشاد، فلسطين برواية واحدة من كل دولة.
وضمت قائمة الـ18 لفئة الرواية المنشورة، 6 روايات، من مصر، والمغرب، تونس، وفلسطين بروايتين من كل دولة، وسلطنة عمان، سورية، العراق، اليمن، الكويت، الجزائر برواية واحدة لكل دولة.
وضمت فئة الدراسات النقدية 7 دراسات نقدية من مصر، والمغرب 6 دراسات، والأردن بدراستين، ودراسة واحدة لكل من: السعودية، الجزائر، سورية.
ولفئة روايات الفتيان 6 روايات من مصر، وتونس، والمغرب والجزائر بثلاث روايات لكل دولة، والعراق بروايتين، ورواية واحدة من سورية.
ولفئة الروايات التاريخية ترشحت 6 روايات من مصر، وكل من الأردن واليمن بـ3 روايات، لكل دولة، والمغرب بروايتين، وقطر، سورية، العراق وتونس برواية واحدة لكل دولة.
يذكر أن قائمة «القائمة القصيرة» لجائزة كتارا للرواية العربية ستنشر في أغسطس القادم عن فئات الجائزة الخمس المذكورة.
The Qatar Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) announced the list of 18 for the best works participating in the 11th edition of the Katara Prize for Arabic Novel in the categories of published novels, unpublished novels, young adult novels, historical novels, and critical studies. Egypt topped the lists with 24 entries, while Saudi Arabia was represented by one critical study by Dr. Riyad Al-Freiji, on (Modern Arabic Novel and the Employment of Development Media).
Each list contained 18 nominated works for the unpublished novels category, featuring novelists from 10 countries. Egypt led the list with five novels, followed by Iraq with three novels, and Morocco and Syria, with two novels each. Sudan, Tunisia, Jordan, Algeria, Chad, and Palestine each had one novel.
The list of 18 for the published novels category included 6 novels from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Palestine with two novels from each country, and one novel each from Oman, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Kuwait, and Algeria.
The critical studies category included 7 critical studies from Egypt, 6 studies from Morocco, 2 studies from Jordan, and one study each from Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Syria.
For the young adult novels category, there were 6 novels from Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria with three novels from each country, two novels from Iraq, and one novel from Syria.
In the historical novels category, 6 novels from Egypt were nominated, along with 3 novels each from Jordan and Yemen, 2 novels from Morocco, and one novel each from Qatar, Syria, Iraq, and Tunisia.
It is worth mentioning that the "shortlist" for the Katara Prize for Arabic Novel will be published next August for the five mentioned award categories.
