يعود الفنان المصري خالد محمود إلى الدراما الرمضانية من جديد بعد غياب استمر سنوات بعيداً عن الشاشة، وذلك عبر مشاركة الفنان أحمد العوضي في مسلسل «سلطان الديب».
أسباب الغياب
وحول غيابه عن المشاركة في المسلسلات في الأعوام الماضية، قال: «لم أتعمد الابتعاد، ولم تعقني أسباب شخصية أو مرضية، بل كان الأمر مرتبطاً بغياب العروض الفنية من شركات الإنتاج والمخرجين، في ظل التغيرات الكبيرة التي شهدتها الساحة الفنية أخيراً.»
وأضاف: «تولي مخرجين شباب إخراج مسلسلات موسم رمضان، وعدم وجود معرفة سابقة بهم، قد يكون سبباً رئيسياً في هذا التراجع المؤقت.»
الترشيح لسلطان الديب
وكشف محمود تفاصيل ترشيحه لمسلسل «سلطان الديب»، وقال: «تلقيت اتصالاً مسبقاً من الفنان محمود البزاوي، الذي استطلع رأيي في الفنان أحمد العوضي، فأخبرته بأن العوضي نجم كبير ومؤثر، وأتابعه وأحبه منذ سنوات، مضيفاً بأن البزاوي سأله عما إذا كان يوافق على مشاركته في عمله الجديد، فجاء الرد بالقبول الفوري.»
اتصال مباشر
وتابع محمود بأنه بعد ذلك تلقى اتصالاً مباشراً من أحمد العوضي، وأبلغه بترشيحه لدور رئيسي في مسلسل «سلطان الديب»، المقرر عرضه في سباق دراما رمضان القادم، معرباً عن سعادته البالغة بالاهتمام الواسع والاتصالات الكثيرة التي تلقاها لتهنئته بالعودة، وهو ما افتقده طوال السنوات الماضية، متمنياً أن تنال مشاركته إعجاب الجمهور، مؤكداً موافقته على المشاركة دون أن يطلع تفصيلياً على طبيعة دوره، انطلاقاً من ثقته الكاملة في رؤية أحمد العوضي، والسيناريست محمود حمدان، والمخرج محمد عبد السلام.
ويعد الفنان خالد محمود أحد أبرز وجوه الدراما التلفزيونية في أجيالها المختلفة، واعتاد المشاركة في أعمال بارزة، وصولاً إلى بطولة خمسة مسلسلات في وقت واحد، إلا أن معدل تواجده بدأ في التراجع منذ عقد من الزمن، قبل أن يختفي تماماً طوال السنوات الماضية، وهو ما أثار تساؤلات جمهوره.

Reasons for Absence
Regarding his absence from participating in series in the past years, he said: "I did not intentionally distance myself, nor were there personal or health reasons that hindered me, but it was related to the lack of artistic offers from production companies and directors, amid the significant changes that the artistic scene has witnessed recently."
He added: "The involvement of young directors in directing Ramadan season series, and the lack of prior acquaintance with them, may be a main reason for this temporary decline."
Nominating for Sultan Al Deeb
Khaled Mahmoud revealed details about his nomination for the series "Sultan Al Deeb," saying: "I received a prior call from the artist Mahmoud El Bazawy, who inquired about my opinion on the artist Ahmed El Awady. I told him that El Awady is a great and influential star, and I have been following and loving him for years. El Bazawy then asked me if I would agree to participate in his new work, and I immediately accepted."
Direct Call
Khaled Mahmoud continued that after that, he received a direct call from Ahmed El Awady, who informed him of his nomination for a leading role in the series "Sultan Al Deeb," which is set to air in the upcoming Ramadan drama race. He expressed his immense happiness with the wide interest and numerous calls he received to congratulate him on his return, something he has missed throughout the past years, wishing that his participation would please the audience. He confirmed his agreement to participate without having detailed knowledge of the nature of his role, based on his complete trust in Ahmed El Awady's vision, the screenwriter Mahmoud Hamdan, and the director Mohamed Abdel Salam.
Khaled Mahmoud is considered one of the most prominent faces in television drama across different generations, and he is accustomed to participating in notable works, reaching the lead role in five series at the same time. However, his presence has started to decline over the past decade, before completely disappearing for the past years, which raised questions among his audience.
