وفي هذا السياق، أكد المتحدث باسم أسرة شكري سرحان عبر حسابه على منصة «فيسبوك»، أن الأسرة بدأت اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لإعادة جثمان الراحل إلى القاهرة، تمهيداً لدفنه في مقابر العائلة.
وتعمل الأسرة خلال الوقت الحالي على استكمال ترتيبات نقل الجثمان من أستراليا إلى مصر، فيما لم تكشف حتى الآن عن الموعد النهائي للدفن أو تفاصيل مراسم العزاء، على أن يتم الإعلان عنها عقب الانتهاء من الإجراءات.
ويأتي رحيل يحيى شكري سرحان بعد سنوات من وفاة والده الفنان شكري سرحان، أحد أبرز نجوم السينما المصرية، الذي قدم خلال مسيرته الفنية الممتدة مجموعة كبيرة من الأعمال التي رسخت حضوره في تاريخ الفن المصري.
